Spotted this taking part in the competition. Looked a bit more sophisticated than some of the competition. It had brakes, for example.

Why is it that by this point in time there exist no suitable replacement mirrors for the Esprit? It's not like the form is so terribly unique as to make this an impractical project.

Following a social media post about the noisy bulkhead bolts in my 1987 Esprit S3, I received some useful advice as it appears in the following link: http://www.lotusespritworld.com/EGuides/EModifications/BulkheadPlate.html?fbclid=IwAR1ESZK9jax3r9OR1pLoeLTzTLhkuss_tnbGpTOcy4Tg8BASwRKa1LPofTA I'm confused since the bolt plate mentioned in the above article seems to be in the engine bay side of the bulkhead and it's not accessible. Any tips please on how to tighten the slack bolts and stop the creaking bulkhead?

I don’t think we’ve started a proper thread on this situation yet. What do you lot think will happen? Seems to me that one of Putin’s main “demands” is that Ukraine never joins NATO so that he can keep that geographical buffer, but that the Ukrainian Constitution has been changed since Russia annexed the Crimea to make NATO accession one of Ukraine’s political aims. Of course, there is presumably no chance of Ukraine itself ever ruling out achieving NATO membership, so Putin can make the decision for them by invading Ukraine and absorbing it back into an old style Soviet Union. That would mean a relatively quick and permanent end to Ukraine’s NATO ambitions. He knows it’s…

Hi Guys, I am finally back working on the front suspension of the car. I need to fit the front pivot polybushes however it seems on one arm the bush has gone in but not all the way. Do I need to use a press or are they normally push fit? On the other arm, the bush seems to thick to go into the arm. I remember reading a while ago that there is some metal sleeve inside the bush housing that needs to be removed or modified? Can anyone confirm this?

As Bibs mentioned, there were "about" 6,000 Evora's built over the 14 years of production. This only averages out at "428" cars per year. However I wonder just what the model break down is, using averages doesn't give a true indication. I have asked LOTUS PR, but no response, has any one else have any info.

Hey - wondering if anyone has put Louvres / air vents on their Elise series 3 front clam like the Elise cup 260 similar to exige/Evora gt430 ? i have seen the following options: 1. Komotec - for exige - not sure they fit Elise but advantage they don’t need fibreglassing in https://www.komo-tec.com/en/lotus-exige/mk3-toyota-v6350380/exterieur/789/upper-carbon-wheel-arch-vents-kt-track?c=577 2. Greg’s race parts - bit rough / tacky looking for me https://www.gregsraceparts.com/collections/aero-exterior/products/reverie-carbon-fibre-front-wheel-arch-louvre-vents-for-lotus-elise-exige-s2-exige-v6-pair-1 3. seriouslylotus - the best looking but …

Just wondered if anyone had tried to fix one of these up fuel pipe assemblies using the original fittings and some new nylon pipe? It is numbered A912E2335 in the parts manual, SJ say it is obsolete and make an stainless braided alternative, but I prefer the simple look of this if I can do it The inner nylon (?) tube was rubber coated, though that has perished and mostly broken up. I thought I shrink wrap would make that look about right. The long piece also had a plastic spiral wrap on, which I've removed but is perfectly resuable. Any thoughts, warnings or tips? Doh...forgot to attach the photo.

Oh dear... It seems I've become one of those men of a certain age, my own seeds are no longer required, so I've started planting bloody flower seeds, vegetable seeds, fruit seeds, even cannabis seeds. My once tidy little garden now looks like the jungle, with flowers tomatoes and strawberries sprouting from every crevice. I've even surprised myself with my green fingered talents. I've looked back through the general chat and can't find a gardening thread, so is it just me, or is gardening a secret hobby not to be spoken of, what have you cultivated? Anyways I'm pretty proud of my sunflowers 🌻 🌻 🌻 .

I don't know if I've woken up in the twilight zone - but every Esprit I see for sale (even the ropey ones) seem to be going for lots and lots of money..... S1's - in good order - £25 to £40k S2's and S3's - £10 to £16k X180's > £10k SE's > £12k S4's > £16k S4S >£19k V8's >£19k What's happened? Does anyone know - is it because the good ones are less and so they're worth more? Has James Bond declared he's buying an X180 for the next film? As a footnote there are also some absolute howlers for sale at the moment who seem to think that they have equally good cars and seem to be trying to cash in on the price increase too.

Hey all - Hoping someone may have had or know of someone that's had a similar issue. It's an intermittent electrical issue and hoping to get some advice before I take it to a workshop as sod's law they won't be able to replicate and I'm nervous of spending loads of time trying to get this diagnosed.... Below is the sequence of what happens when driving. This tends to happen on track or when the car has been exercised, but aside from that no obvious pattern. On track this week it happened 5 times in two hours, but not once on the road: Instrument cluster goes blank: all the lights go off, clock goes dark revs and speedo go to zero Engine cuts out (…

Quick question for the Evora owners.. I was topping up the screen fluid, and put the access hatch back down but it doesn't seem to sit flush with the clam. I noticed it when sitting ^in the car, and it sits slightly higher than the clam?! Normal? Doesn't seem to go down any further

I’ve recently spoke to someone who would love to know who currently owns their old S1 Elise registration Y201 OGV (Described as midnight blue). The plate is no longer in existence unfortunately, all we know is they sold the car to a man on the Isle of Skye some years ago. any help would be much appreciated!

My Lotus Evora GT410 Sport journey has started today when visiting my GT410 Sport in Essex Blue today at the detailer, ready for its full clean, ceramic coating and maybe some Xpel PPF over the carbon areas! This will be my first Lotus and I am really looking forward to getting to know the car. Hopefully I have picked a good one after cancelling my Emira order. I couldn't find a 'GT410 Sport Club' thread, so thought I would start one. I know there are some other GT410 Sport owners on the forum and would be interesting reading about your car, any modifications or issues you may have or may come across in the future. Thanks, Phil

Afternoon all, I'm fairly new into lotus ownership so please excuse me if this topic has been mentioned before. I went for a drive today with outside temps being fairly hot and humid, I noticed the air con at the start of the drive being quite powerful on setting 3 nice and cool. On the motorway I noticed the air con and the fan setting on 3 just went completely low. Is this a common problem with exiges? I've covered 370miles.
