I know this is not strictly a Lotus but a Westfield replica of a Lotus Eleven but I have just bought this in my quest to put together a collection of Lotus's from every decade since formation so hopefully posting it on here is OK, the originals go for around £130K now so this will have to do for my 50's example.
It is brand new but the fly in the ointment is that it is nearly finished being built by the current owner but it has yet to get through its SVA test to make it road le
So I have been challenged by one of my friends on Facebook to list 10 vinyl albums that greatly influenced my music taste over the years, funnily enough I said to Wendy around a year ago that something similar would make a great blog so I guess with the world in lockdown there is no better time to put my thinking cap on and create a list of albums that helped form my love of music.
I have given this a fair bit of thought over the last few days and I have got it down to 12 album
It's certainly not been an easy decision but I have decided to sell 3 of my Lotus Collection to fund a car that is a once in a lifetime purchase, more details to follow if I pull it off 🙂
So I am selling below, if of any interest just either fire me over a PM, e-mail me on or give me a ring 0n 01767 44121

I am excited to announce that for the 2021 motorsport season we will be competing in the Lotus Elise Trophy Championship around the UK's best circuits and here is our new race car fresh from the Lotus Cars Production line.
I've owned Lotus's for over 30 years now, my first true car love was a Lotus Elan M100 back in 1989 and since then I have had the pleasure of owning quite a few Lotus Cars, so to finally get to race a Lotus is super exciting and especially so as Lotus recently announced t
WOW, what can I say, firstly I just want to send out a massive thank you to everyone at Wilson Audio for making us so welcome and also to Absolute Sounds for helping organise this trip, today was a very special day indeed, also a very long one, started at 7am and it is now midnight and we have just got back so I will keep this short as I need some sleep, the first thing we did today was a Wilson Audio factory tour which was absolutely gob smacking, the attention to detail at Wilson
Finally got a chance to take the Caterham out with it's aero screen fitted, tired it with a helmet which was a better experience than I thought but really impressed how good it is to drive without a helmet, haven't been hit at 70mph by any flies yet though so that may change my mind :-)
I thought I would just jot down a few thoughts from my first drive in the Radical SR1 at Oulton Park on Friday, I must say I was very relieved to finally get out in the car after our first 2 tests being cancelled due to snow and with my first race less than 1 week away.
So how did it go? well looking back a couple of days later I would say I was fairly happy although I need to go a fair bit faster but for my first drive in the car at a circuit I didn’t know and to be fair
Just thought that I would upload a few pictures of my recently purchased S2 M100, unfortunately it failed its MOT last week so is going back in later this week to get it sorted.
Yesterday I setup the Carcoon Veloce in the metal garage I had built a few weeks ago for the Elan to live in as I have now found out that a metal garage really isn't a great idea especially where condensation in involved, I went in the garage the other day and the while bodywork had a layer of condensation
After around 3 years of looking I took delivery this week of an S3 Esprit :-)
I'm really hoping it is a good one, it does appear to be but I am no expert, bought it from UK Sports cars, it has been totally restored and in honesty it is as if it has been transported back from 1985 as it is almost like new but it has done 74,000 miles and has had 12 owners, so I am lucky No 13.
I must admit I was taken by it's condition and decided that if there are mechanical gremlins then everything is
Finally got a chance to play with the Cup today after taking delivery a couple of weeks ago, have to say extremely happy going with Signature Orange, really comes alive when the sun hits it, just looks epic
Anyway here are a few pics -
Time will tell but I feel we may have bitten off more than we can chew trying to run 5 demo rooms tomorrow, taken all day to set up but getting there, the fun part was getting the mighty PMC MB2 SE's down the stairs, luckily Wendy is a strong lass :-)
A couple more hours and we should be done,
Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow,
Does anyone know who is under this “Brilliant Disguise’ :-)
This is just a quick heads up to say that Devialet have decided to make the very special and severely limited Gold Phantom ‘Opera de Paris’ edition available in the UK for a short time and whilst stocks last and the good news is that it only costs £200 more than the standard Gold Phantom at £2390.
Earlier this year, the Paris Opera and Devialet announced a ten-year partnership and licensing agreement. To celebrate the occasion, the pair have created a special limited editi
Big Tick On The Bucket List This Weekend!
So life really is for living in my book and last weekend was a huge tick on the bucket list after spending 3 days racing in our Radical SR1 at Silverstone on the Grand Prix layout, only a few days after the F1 circus left and we had a new HiFi Lounge Livery on the car to celebrate.
The event was a Radical invitational so we didn't score any championship points but we joined the back for the Radical SR3 grid and gatecrashed t
HFL Motorsport Season 3 Starts This Saturday!
So here we go again, I get asked a lot what my plans are for this year regarding motorsport, well things kick of this Saturday morning as I have signed up for a 10 race season’s racing in the Senna Cup at Rye House in the Go Karts that we used for our Boys Toys Day last year as I really enjoyed that and it whetted my appetite for more Karting, the funny thing was that my best session in the the Radical last year was the first p
Many of you already know this but in true HiFi style we are upgrading :-) Well we are opening 2 more showrooms to be exact so I thought I would start a blog that I will update regularly with progress reports and pictures.
We are now in our 5th year, not quite sure where that time has gone to be honest but firstly Wendy and myself would like to thank everyone for your support over that time, it really has flown by and has been great fun. Looking back I would say We have tried to
Hope everyone is OK during this 2nd lockdown, now this isn't exactly HiFi related but I know a lot of our customers are petrolheads and love their motorsport, very much like me so thought it may be of interest.
So my other passion other than music is playing racing games and in particular driving simulators, I started way back in 1984 with REV's on the BBC Micro, arguably the world's first racing simulator and I haven't stopped since, wow that is 36 years, to be honest I should
Had my first track day this week over at Bedford Autodrome, watch out Lewis :-)
The morning session was very wet which made trying to learn the circuit a challenge as the Caterham was constantly trying to swap ends on me but I actually really enjoyed it which surprised me but luckily the afternoon dried out which was much more fun, really loved the fast flowing parts of the track.
I think I have well and truly got the bug now though
Just a quick blog to say that we are pleased to have the brand new Focal Kanta No2 Floorstanding loudspeakers now on permanent demo, these are a 3 way design with very unique styling which really is quite stylish, especially when you see them first hand.
Other than the Styling the Kanta No2 is also noteworthy as it has Focal’s Beryllium tweeter mixed with their Flax material for the other drivers, this is a first for Focal to put the 2 technologies together which gives a detail
Gorgeous day yesterday so time to get some of the cars out after a long winter tucked away, amazed that the Esprit started first time and reverse gear seems to be working a treat at the moment which was a real issue last year, really can't wait to get her running well this year.
Just doing a final sound check ahead of our Wilson Audio Open Day tomorrow, been a busy day setting up but everything really is sounding great, certainly looking like it is going to be a busy day with people coming from all over the country and with more people registering for this open day than any before so Wendy has been busy turning 10 loaves of bread into sandwiches, it has been like a military operation in the kitchen
Really looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, i
This is just a quickie to say that we now have the Magneplanar 20.7 Speakers on Demo, most definitely the biggest speaker we ever have had in HiFi Lounge that is for sure but they really do sound absolutely incredible.
I love Maggies but due to their size they are not for everyone but pretty much everyone that hears them are captivated by them, they offer a presentation quite like nothing else so when a customer rang a couple of weeks ago enquiring if he could demo the 3.7
Just a really quick one to say that we now have the new Accuphase E-800 Pure Class A Integrated amplifier now on Demo, this is my first foray into Class A solid state amplification and I have to say I can see why people like this kind of amplification as it really does give an extremely natural presentation but with great control, it really is very engrossing.
The E-800 is basically 50 watts into 8 ohms which at Class A is pretty much enough power to drive any speakers out ther
Just thought I would upload a couple of Vids shot over the weekend when coming back from the British GP which shows my LF1 with a Larini backbox recently fitted.
I have always found the stock exhaust a little underwhelming and the Larini is most definitely a step in the right direction but I will probably add the manifold next as I would still like a bit more roar :)
The idea was to do a drive by and
Well after a very troubled start to our relationship it looks like the Esprit is now finally ready to start a new chapter in her life as at long last she seems to be running well and I actually got her to work this morning, thanks to @Sparky who worked his magic on her 👍
Everywhere you park her it is a Leica moment in my eyes 😍😍
