The Hilton, Orlando Hotel will be the event headquarters, and attendees can extend their visit to the world class major attractions in the Orlando area Disney World's many parks, Universal Studios and Sea World, all of which will be about a ten minute drive from the hotel. The Hilton is extending our convention rates for three days prior and three days following for those who wish to make this event more than just Lotus centered. The Hilton is a first class hotel with 1400 rooms, multiple banquet rooms and many meeting rooms and the room accommodations are stunning, the grounds are huge and the concours and autocross sites are within feet of the hotel. As the hotel is designating rooms overlooking these sites, non-participating members will be able to watch these events from their rooms. Their four restaurants offer food & drink to satisfy even the most discriminating palates.
Additionally they offer two bars and one being pool-side. There will be a covered Lotus only parking facility, with 24-hour security to watch over our special toys. Additionally, the Hilton features the Florida only outdoor facilities, the Lazy River floating stream, several swimming pools, cabanas and sunning areas.
Giving this LOG a special Lotus, Ltd. attraction, the group photo will pick up on a feature of LOG 1, by having the cars in the concours arranged to spell Lotus Ltd - LOG XXXII. This will be a major organizational task, in order for you to have your car assigned to the appropriate letter, all entrants will have to return their registration forms promptly (procrastinators may find their car located on the overflow line beneath the letters). Additionally all owners must stay alert to the announcements for staging prior to entering the concours field.
A rather special feature will be a track event at the historic Sebring International Raceway, even those not entered for the track day will have the opportunity to take their Lotus onto the track for tours during the lunch break on Monday. Sebring is located approximately 1.5 hours south of the Hotel site.
Sebring has had international FIA status in the racing world since 1950, and has been a major historical site for many Lotus firsts:
*1955 was the first North American entry from Lotus Engineering. A Mk IX with Colin Chapman and Bastrup driving.
*1956 was the very first race with three entries for the new Lotus Eleven. Among the drivers listed was Colin Chapman.
*1957 was the first Team Lotus entry, with four Elevens entered.
*1962 was the very first race for the Type 23. Two cars were entered.
The 2012 LOG coincides with the 50th anniversary of the announcement of the Type 26 Elan, which will be the featured car at this event. The importance of the Elan cannot be understated. The Elan moved Lotus into a position of a profitable, true road-worthy sports car company. Although many have copied its features and styling, a genuine Elan, with its high performance, from a small engine and combined with light weight and impeccable handling has never been duplicated.

See you there for all the fun!
