  10. The 11th Annual Serpentine Charity Run Presented by the Cheshire Lotus Owners Group and The Lotus Driver Club Sunday the 26th June 2016 Open to all types of classic cars, sports cars and classic motorbikes the event will start from 9:30am at the historic Buxton Devonshire Dome (University of Derby, Buxton Campus SK17 6RY) and involve a route though the Peak District National Park and some of the UK’s most beautiful scenery. Entrants will be given their route maps at the registration point and from where they will also be started at regular intervals. The start point allows for the use of the cafeteria and facilities and alongside the refreshments (free tea and coffee) there will be bacon sandwiches available to purchase at a small cost. The journey will be approximately 100miles and will involve several stops at places of interest as well as stops for refreshments, pub lunch, picnic etc and will culminate in a display of all the cars at the finish line in one of the Peak Districts historic locations (it’s a secret until you get there) around mid afternoon. This is not a race and the planned journey time though the Peak District is to be around 4 hours to allow you to enjoy the scenery, stop for lunch or a picnic as well as enjoy your driving experience. There will be an entry fee of £15, which should enable a substantial donation to the chosen local charities to benefit. Please see the reverse for the entry form or Tel:- 01298 25590 to request additional copies or further information Email:- [email protected] Or look at the website We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to our event entry form

  22. Hello all, The Norlog Wednesday evening meet is having a bit of an overhaul and is moving venues. I know a few off here sometimes attend and also I guess many on here are not aware we have a regular mid week meet so hopefully we can drum up some new interest Cross posted:- Next meet is on Weds 1st July and will be at the Houghton Arms, Withnell PR6 8BL. It is basically the opposite side of the roundabout J3, M65. Here is a link:- I had a chat with the manager and he is committing an inside space to us that covers approx 15 people, he will happily give us a side room if we guararntee min 20 people eating. That said, if the weather is nice there is a large outdoor garden area with lots of tables looking onto the car park which would be perfect. As this is our 1st meet I have negotiated a 20% discount on all food and they also advised they are launching a new menu on that date so it would be a great time to come along. I did say I would try to let them know the weekend before a rough idea of numbers so I hope we can all get excited about the new venue and give it some real support. Please let me know if you plan to attend. Apparently the weather is going to be epic (*) on this day so look forward to seeing you there (*) this could be made up PS - The stretch of road in front of the place is mega for the watching crowds to get a good earful of Lotus power Hopefully we will see a few selocers there and if you are a member on Norlog please stick your name down on the list. Boothy
  23. Please add your name to this list if you'd like to be notified by PM of local events... 1. 2...
  24. I know of a couple of regular NW meets that it would be good to get a few more to: The Norlog monthly meet: First Wed of the month 7pm onwards The Boat Yard Bolton Road, Riley Green, Preston PR5 0SP Tel: 01254 209841 Good food, normally 10+ Lotii but when the sun comes out there has been all sorts present. Supercar Sunday: First Sunday of the month 1030-12 ish Phantom Winger Pub 398 Garstang Road, Broughton, Preston, Lancashire PR3 5JE Only been the once and it was a washout, supposed to be good if the sun is out. Anyone know of any more worth a look? Rich
