  1. What's new in this club
  2. Be careful on the dual carriageway to and from Bell and Colvill direction. July meet, there was a camera van on the section towards B&C - an Elise was done circa 10am. 50mph limit. Justin
  3. I might try and pop along in my new (to me) 500hp V6. 🙂 cheers -Chris (sorry, it's not a Lotus)
  4. Time for another Sunday breakfast gathering for some of the finest bacon rolls around. This is our regular third Sunday of the month event, a chance to gather with like-minded enthusiasts and a cross section of Lotus models. Everyone welcome and we look forward to attendees from The Lotus Forums, SELOC, Lotus Drivers Club and Club Lotus. An informal gathering with no particular runs in or out organised, just a chance to chat, look at cars and take in the view. Join from 9.00 when the café opens for bacon rolls. We'll probably be around until 10.00/10.30. Location map for Newlands Corner here Note parking is free again, although ticket machines are still in place.
  5. It's always the 3rd Sunday of the month, so next one is 19th September. I aim to post up each event a week beforehand as a reminder but the timing and details are always the same.
  6. Very much would like to join the next one! I assume it would be the 19th of September? 3rd Sunday of the month?
  7. Let me know when the next one is. I am a regular at Newlands , then Rykas, on my usual bike runs.

  10. Great to see everyone yesterday, catch up with old friends, meet some newcomers and see a great selection of cars old and new. Let’s do it again next month! [/img]
  11. I was! But it’s not on the list of colours for First Edition cars. So I’ll have to see if it’s available for second phase or go with Hethel Yellow for the Emira.
  12. I'm bringing my new Lotus along: I'll post some more about it in the Exige forum later...
  13. Didn't reply before but I will certainly be there - look forward to meeting some like-minded folks
  14. I plan to be there, but not in a Lotus unfortunately. It will be in a 'German car. Hopefully temporarily until I'm back in a Lotus. I promise to park out of the way in the corner 🙂
  15. After a long break we're back! A lot has happened since our last meet in August 2020. It'll be great to see people again, catch up, look at cars old and new, and welcome some newcomers. 16. Well, it's not official in any way, but I'm planning to pop in to Newlands Corner on Sunday. See you there, hopefully Location map for Newlands Corner here
  17. I'm there as always. Nothing can stop me 😁 I need to show my Elise the Newlands corner 👍
  18. Our usual third Sunday breakfast meeting isn't taking place this Sunday due to COVID19 restrictions. We could in theory do a group of 6 but I can't control who else turns up and as the organiser it'll be me who risks getting a big fine. If people want to go individually that's up to them, but there is no official organised event. Stay safe!
  19. Great to see everyone this morning. The forecast turned out to be right and we had mainly dry roads on the way over plus some sunshine during the meet. Nice to catch up with regulars (some with new cars) and old friends. Also great to welcome some first timers. It's always interesting to see the cross-section of cars and today was no exception. How often do you see an S1 Esprit up close, let alone a white one with what looked like an original interior? We also had some non-Lotus interlopers. As well as the M-cars, Mustang and Aston that had come as part of a different group, special mention to Barry and his upgrade from a Lotus to another iconic British marque. A beautiful machine and has got me thinking about what will replace the Evora when that time comes!
