I thought the commemorative editions were 1988 models and only 88 were made. Were the 88 all left hand drive?
Were the 40 1989 models mentioned above, part of that original 88 or are they a separate run of 40 more in 1989? Were those 40 vehicles right hand drive?
Can someone clear up the totals made of the Commemorative Edition for me? ... Thanks, Kevin
Hello everybody my name is Colin and i just recently purchased my very first lotus, and am new to the lotus forum. I am looking forward to meeting and chatting with other Lotus owners, and getting to know more about my car.
Rear shocks and springs replaced
All front bushes replaced with suspension re-painted
Stub axles and front bearings replaced.
Front brake upgrade to PMN four pot willwood kit
Replacement washerbottle and pump.
Replacement header tank.
Main differences I have experienced vs my last V6S with race pack :-
much improved gear change.
Steering much more stable over the bumpy roads - much less thrashing of steering wheel
less heat soak in engine bay - open slats definitely aid cooling vs glass
car engine warms up in approx half the time - assume due to less cooling pipes ?
you can see the lights on buttons (e.g. When aircon is on or not)
matt black on car is harder to keep clean than paint.
Overall very happy with the car
