  2. The Elise will be staying as it is. I bought it to do early morning runs up the passes that I have on my doorstep. A favourite is the Klausen, the old hill climb route. There is a section in the middle where you have a long straight with decent visibility. Even if I wasn't so focussed on Swiss speeding limits (the fines here make UK ones look like pocket-money!) there is no way I'd push it for the same reasons as you note - it's very bumpy and I can tell that grounding is a real possibility. I got the car on to the non-sport pack suspension because I judged it better at dealing with bumpy 'real-world' roads. As I mentioned I gain no real enjoyment from autobahns. It was more of an experiment to see what it could do. ha, ha. I know what you mean. I had a few days co-piloting an M5 in the UK recently and we went from London to the borders and back (with a few days weaving around the northern Pennines) almost exclusively on secondary roads.
