Dear Lotus friends, Like every year in Belgium the 'Ypres Lotus Day' marks the beginning of the summer and so we would like to celebrate the end of summer with a second 'Lotus Summer's End' event. For our second year the 'Summer's End' tour starts and ends in the hills of the most challenging circuit of the world : the Ardennes! Driving and navigating in the Ardennes is a real pleasure to pilot and copilot. Because of the many 'mountains', side roads are very rare with roadbook distances of 7 to 8 km. A real feast for the navigator! The aspiration of this event is to let enjoy everyone the beautiful scenery and the winding roads in the forests of the Ardennes. There will be an opportunity to spend the night at the start and end stop in Domain Floreal - La roche. Keep in mind that on Saturday 21st of September there is the legendary Spa Six Hours classic race with the Grand Prix Masters (classic F1) race. So if you come early on Saturday you can pay a visit to the legendary circuit of Spa-Francorchamps and enjoy the historic races ! Like last year, there is no dinner at the end of the event, so you can go home early if you wish ... Please note that the number of participants will be limited to keep the focus on driving during the tour. Date: Sunday 22 September 2013 Timing: 08u30 : Meeting & Breakfast buffet : Domain Floreal (La Roche-en-Ardenne) 10u00 : Start part 1 (~70km) 11u30 : Apero stop Befferly Hills (Beffe) 11u45 : Start part 2 (~45km) 12u45 : Lunch 14u00 : Start part 3 (~50km) 15u00 : Drink (region Houffalize) 15u15 : Start part 4 (~30km) 16u00 : Drink + chat : Domain Floreal (La Roche-en-Ardenne) Price: Included in our price : professionally roadbook, breakfast buffet, apero, lunch + drinks, afternoon stop, a drink at the end and our good concerned about the whole day. 45 € (price per person (1p) payment by bank transfer only (or contact the organisation) 90 € (price per team (2p) payment by bank transfer only (or contact the organisation) Deadline payment : 15/09/2013 - only payment completes your registration! Callum has finished the video edit and added music (a remix of one of my favourite Daft Punk/Tron Legacy tracks, by request....) and some slick editing. One might regard this as the 'yoof mix'... Enjoy. Brian - I have asked Callum for an edit of your Ferrari pursuit in all its glory. Will post as soon I have it.1 point

Completely agree Buddsy, this one looks like a winner. And a sign Lotus might be getting their mojo back. Elise remains a stunning package for UK roads and there's genius in every nut and bolt.1 point

All they need to do now is offer a supercar interior to go with the supercar exterior. Oh and tell everyone what their offering as I had no idea they had a quick Elise. Lotus has Soooo much potential!1 point

If you ever take parts out of the car or off the engine for cleaning, try SODA BLASTING. It's an amazing natural deagreaser and dosesn't harm glass, trim, fibreglass, electrical components and cleans grease from alloy and brings it up like new, literally. Used properly it can be very accurate and leaves a protective film on the piece being cleaned and if you ever want to strip paint back on any engine, brake or suspension components, it's brilliant for that too. It doesn't harm rubber bushes and although it wont de rust like hard media blasting, it will take paint off, layer by layer, as gently as you like. I've been amazed by it. Just Google Soda Blasting and you'll see a whole array of snippets on there. If you've ever wondered how to get a Dellorto carb clean like new again with all the intricate hidey holes and corners for grime, soda blasting will do it. The only downside is that it leaves a talcum powder like residue all over everything which really then needs blasting off with an airline or rinsing. Hope that helps Simon1 point
