I've not worked on an Eclat / Elite suspension but if it's as per this image http://rdent.com/manuals/elite_and_eclat/rear_suspension/da.htm then it appears you could de-mount the rear trailing arm, unot the hub carrier from the driveshaft and take the whole lot to the bench to work on. If you are then able to remove the hub carrier from the arm and strutt, I'd suggest drilling the rubber of the damper bush, so that you can attack the inner collet that has oxidised itself to the bolt.

This is the first of the revised Charge Coolers, a slightly lower and more compact design. I believe the core is of the latest design giving greater heat transfer efficiency while maintaining flow. It fits under my cover, but my car is 1990 SE. It is very lightweight with good quality construction. Mark K

there are some pics of the yellow S2 v8 in the garage section, and some pics of the 521 in the project hscc thread. thats the only pic I took of the excel as I got sidetracked trying to fix it.

In reality, once cars get modded they rarely, if ever, get returned to standard, it's just too much work and too much cost, especially when resprays are needed to cover things like arch mods (see Karl's example). And the the spare parts rarely stay with the car. More likely the owner gets sick of tripping over them in the garage, needs a few quid one day, and sells them. Think back, Esprit S1s were chopped about like this once, hence all the "Wolfrace wheels wanted" adverts you see now people want them back to standard. Your car obviously, but I see an unmodified S4 or GT3 as on the endangered species list.

I can add a bit of light to this. The blue V8 Gt is mine. I have been to see Scott a couple of times last summer as was thinking of selling. Then after my last post "nearly wrote it off" and the fact I have kid no 3 on the way add that to I dont use it enough has made me put it up for grabs. I am just to big for the car it cripples me after an hour. It was bought as a keeper but times change. The silver V8 was in Bell & Colvill for a short while early in the year. It was on Pistonheads but due to the crap weather Scott could not take any pics so kept it until the better weather. Yellow Gt is Scotts. Had it a while. Now wants to move on. The 300 is / was Ken Bairds and has been with Scott for a long time in storage ready to sell. The S1 had that a little while. He wanted to wait until the spring before putting the ads up.
