  1. Nowhere in that advert does it mention actually buying the business. So I guess that price is only for the land, buildings and house. Buying a business also involves the goodwill, assets and customers etc.

  3. The interior is standard as far as I can tell. Charcoal leather with the gold/yellow stitching. There is a "limited edition" Lotus Motorsport plate showing the production number....

  5. Bought my 1996 S1 Elise in July last year and drove to sw France a week later, never missed a beat on the 2 1/2 thousand mile trip. I cycle to work and have a Mini Clubvan for most local stuff though the Lotus gets a 20 mile run out to Stratford most weeks

  6. For the immediate future I have put the original padded panel back and is now sitting much more comfortably with me, makes me feel that the weekend has not been a total fail. I will revisit these doorcards at some point but for now they are on hold, I still like my original idea of rosewood, chrome and material, but use less foam padding behind the cloth, I think that's where it went wrong, I also think a thinner chrome strip will look a touch classier rather than the strip I sourced. The photos below show the original doorcards and they don't look half bad at all.[br][br][br][br][br][br]Trial end error, that's what it is all about.

  7. My final reply, as there are far more important things in life. No, I didnt raise the topic of "How much spotify pays its artists". You made that all by yourself. If that was the topic, it would have been on the title. No disputing a coherent argument. It just wasnt coherent in comparison to the initial topic. One post was sufficient. Two was derailing. And yes whilst forum threads do evolve, maybe not a complete unrelated topic change after the third post. No insults were made against your friends per se. I was making them about world-renowned musicians. As they're world renowned, surely I can have my own opinion? I'm sure i'm not the only person who's seen world renowned musicians lose all their money and claim bankruptcy recently. Bu thankyou for copying your playlist into this thread. My Christmas is now complete.

  8. I agree with others that you have not got it completely wrong. It just needs tweaking. Perhaps fit the original inserts whilst thinking of a solution. In my opinion the wood looks fantastic but is it too wide? the chrome strip is maybe too chunky. The bottom half may look better in black as Mike suggests. It all is a matter of "in the eye of the beholder". I see from your photos on Photobucket that your original insert backings are suffering from warpage from damp or something exactly the same as mine. I havent decided how to tackle this yet, probably replacing the ply backing and the split rivets is the only answer. I did consider wetting the ply backings and placing under a weight to dry out but discounted this idea. Keep it up you are doing a great job.

  10. Quite entertaining. The Lotus is showing up the other 2 cars (and one of them is my other car!). I hope it gets people rethinking Lotus reliability.

  12. Greetings all, After months of mulling over whether I should trade my Evora S for a Solar Yellow Exige V6 Roadster I decided to just go through with it. I thought I might regret it but in fact I'm more than happy with this decision. The suspension is great and comfort is more than I expected. Obviously trading to an Exige I took into account that it simply won't be a daily driver like the Evora was, but I don't mind I have another car. Definitely needs a spoiler a splitter will get one soon. Had the Xpel protective film applied, it looks great. I got this car last week and I was finally able to take it to a nice mountain cruise on Christmas day with some friends and it was fantastic. This car makes the Evora feel like a Lexus. Pictures below, enjoy! I got the car in premium pack sport but I honestly wanted to cover all the aluminum in the car with carpeting, personal preference, so the dealership got it done for me, they added a nice touch of yellow stitching on the footwell divider if you pay attention. Some pics to enjoy and finally, to all those who celebrate it, Merry Christmas!

  13. I run 200 cell sport cats and straight pipe centre exit exhausts. +1 It sounds so much better +2 It is so much lighter You wouldn't believe just how much the standard muffler weighs!

  14. Try and get a quad exhaust or center exit for the same reasons Travis described - having two sound sources close together from different banks gave the final edition V8 its wonderful burble. The regular setup sounds really dull since they're separated. You don't actually need a muffler in the conventional sense (no expansion chamber) - I have straight pipes and its really quiet, unlike the 4-cylinder cars... Whatever you do don't get factory cats, they're expensive and useless. Sportscats all round - better sound and longevity.

  15. A friend had to replace the Lotus cats on his 2003 Esprit V8 3 times... (all under warranty) I think he finally went with metallic cats, rather than ceramic, and those lasted, as far as I heard. he recently backed the car into a pole at 55mph... He was fine! The 2003-2004 sport exhaust was just an empty muffler where the two pipes joined in an H to keep the engine from sounding like two 4 cylinders. Sounded great!
