  1. A bit of a cheeky late e-bay bid yesterday bagged me this bad boy: So I now have the most beautiful car and bike (in my opinion) in my garage.........

  2. Been meaning to get some shots in the field next door and finally got around to it today. I think the yellow makes a nice contrast with the black ( as per the liquid yellow & black shiny bits thread) and bees. Si

  3. Had to help my 80+ year old next door neighbours carry their black labrador to the vet yesterday. She's been limping for a couple of months with vet warnings of arthritis etc even though she was only 9 years old. She collapsed during a walk the day before. X ray under anesthetic revealed an aggressive tumour on her thighbone which had caused it to snap. She had her life ended whilst she was asleep. She was a lovely dog they rescued from a despicable farmer/breeder who just wanted rid of her after she had given him a few litters of puppies. She was 7 by then and very thin. She was such a gentle, friendly dog who never snapped or became aggressive or grumpy even though she must have been in agony recently. Felt quite emotional even though she wasn't mine. So if you love your dog...give them an extra pat or a biscuit tonight, they are here only briefly and they live to make you happy

  4. I too wanted the premium pack but most stock cars seem to be specced with premium sport so ordered one to my spec. Impossible to say what you will pay as each dealer will have their own bottom lines to consider and it depends on time of year, end of quarter, end of year sales targets etc. I simply worked out a price id be happy with and told the dealer if he could get to it id buy the car. So long as you are happy with what you paid it doesn't really matter what other people have paid does it.

  5. Result! I put some fuel in (a 20 litre Jerrycan full without any grief from the filling stations operatives, if anyone's interested), as much coolant as the system would let me, and turned the key. Incredibly it fired-up immediately, which frightened the life out of me because I wasn't expecting it. The vacuum pump is farting about every three seconds, so there's definitely an issue there, but I knew that was a problem beforehand. I'll bleed the cooling system in a while, and get the engine up to temperature.
