  2. Maybe the are held back by budgetary constraints? May not be the fault of the marketing team?

  3. Oh here we go again........ How droll and bloody predictably boring and it doesn't matter what I use.

  4. Man, I'd forgotten what a neck snapper the Evora is, so many kids going ape for it the last two days, people pointing and thumbs ups! My Aston Martin turned heads around here as there aren't really many higher end sports cars where I am, but the Lotus just seems to click with people more, it's had my other half in hysterics today seeing the kids faces.

  6. Hi All, Just wanted to say hello! I'm a lucky owner of a carbon grey Lotus Evora. I've had the car for about 4 months now - and oh my what a car. I have never had a car that has put such a smile on my face. The handling is on another level to anything I've ever driven before. Previous weekend cars have been a Merc SL350 (composed, comfortable but not fun - so so heavy), Honda S2000 (great car). I didn't test drive the Evora before I bought it, I did the deal over the phone (which is very unlike me) yet I have no regrets whatsoever with my purchase. In my opinion, it's a beautiful car

  8. Hi Nicolas, Well done. Yesterday we drove to the Lotus Winterfair at "Van der Kooi sportscars " in Houten Holland. That was a 200km drive but worth it. Nicolas and I live in the same neighbourhood in Belgium Nicolas showed me the Lotus Keychains and they look wonderfull and realistic. So well done. And to all . It is for a good cause, because one day this young man will start restoring his Esprit or Elite or Eclat. By the way , if someone knows an honnest restorationcar, give a shout. greets Geert

  9. @Bibs Thank you for letting me have it! @swindon_alan Yes everything is possible. Email me for a price, I just want to let you know that it'll be cheaper if more people want the same wheel. Because a one-off will be 3D-printed, if more are produced it will be with moulds made from the 3D print.

  13. 7 seconds quicker round the Hethel test track, looks to kill and 400bhp with the best exhaust sound would do it for me. Buddsy

  15. I love apple thingies - they are ace - and always work but...... in this world of corruption and greed - I'm sure it's only a matter of time until they expose the truth that the bloody things cause brain cancer.......

  16. None of those comments would reflect directly to Porsche? Have Jalopnik not heard of the 911, and indeed nowadays the 10 year old Cayman. Hidden agenda isn't quite so hidden any more is it!

  18. Yeah, I can't believe people are still falling for this Apple marketing shite - did not think people really were that gullible and ready to splash so much cash on a hugely overpriced piece of shit! Obviously, that is my very humble opinion ;) I mean, every other iphone I see has a cracked screen. They've changed power adaptors to force you to spend more money. They refused to standardise on connectivity to force you to spend more money on accessories that then trap you in the "brand". Their iOS updates gobble up so much of your non-upgradeable storage that you get less music/pictures/

  20. Nice video Jonny.I love the "old" rally cars like the Delta, Cossie etc but for me I still fancy a Mantra with the wide body kit/wheel arches. Nothing chavvie about that to me, especially a white one Then an RS2000 or Mexico, and purely for the track a Capri RS3100 like this one (I'll always be a 70's and 80's child....!)

  22. You might just have a relationship problem there my friend Ok, I will conjure up some dates and see if Mr Kearley from far flung Worcestershire might be up for it too. Oh and Phumy from that funny sounding place in Zummerzet. Plus some of the Club Lotus Wessex Esprit peeps

  23. Yes, South Oxfordshire, so Berks really. Yes would be good to have a meet up some time. Very few Esprit's around here. No, the Wife isn't allowed to touch the Mustang. The wheels would be curbed within a day. I doubt she could handle the colossal size and power it has too. It's not a car for Ladies, just egocentric middle aged men.

  24. You're just over the border in Henley then Mark? We should have Wilts/Oxford/Berks Esprit meet up one Saturday or Sunday morning. If it ever stops raining that is Does your good lady drive the Mustang? If you bring that along too and I can have a ride in it I might even buy you a bacon buttie...

  27. Hello ! Just to change subject, but according the Evora 400, I was really surprised by the developing that has been done to enter the car. And that's very important, specially when you are wearing a skirt.

  29. Excellent post. That's almost word for word what I've been telling Hethel for years, and they do listen and we do get good information from them, just not enough of it.

  30. That is very interesting maths. It does kind of assume that the prospective purchaser would entertain looking at something from Hethel though. Taking a look at the OPs question another way: I would be really intrigued what % of current Evora owners buy new. I'm guessing it's well below 50% (and this is pure guess work). In fact, it would seem that the majority of Lotus owners do not buy new. Please - I know lots of you on here have bought new, and have worked hard to enjoy the ability to do so. Trust me, if I had the financial wherewithal I would not hesitate to go and buy a new 4
