  1. For completeness I thought I'd post how I fixed this. First I cut the pipe off using a multitool. Before cutting I pushed a cotton wool ball down to just below the cut. After cleaning the cut I took off the back wheel and liner, disconnected the other end of the return oil pipe and blew my airline down it to fire out the cotton wool and flush the pipe out. Top tip.. the pipes cross over in the sill so check the diagram carefully. I took the cut pipe to a hydraulics place in Watford (http://www.customhose.co.uk/) who put a solution together for me comprised of an 18mm to 1/2" BSP single ferule compression fitting, 1/2" x 80mm stainless BSPT pipe and a 1/2" BSP to 5/8" 60 degree fitting to match the car. I sealed the taper threads with Loctite anaerobic sealant. Access to tighten the compression fitting is limited - I just about got a crows foot in using wood blocks to hold the pipes apart. The second photo shows the pipe fitted and tested. If you do anything similar i recommend buying a bag of 8mm scrivets as you'll probably need to replace some. I also bought some M5 stainless bolts to refit the mudflap as the old ones were shot. Looking at why this happened, there is a drain hole in the tray under the windscreen which just drips down the bulkhead and down the pipes soaking the foam (and the mudguard brackets 🙂 ).

  6. So car was booked in to Kwik Fit Dundee at 1430 for 4x Mps4s. I arrived and 5 mechanics lined up as I drove in. Phones out, pictures taken. Huge smiles. Lots of love for the Evora. Manager gets on floor to check jacking points and directs the lads. Rear tyres done and so he asks me to move the car to get better access as he didn't want his guys driving it! Anyways. Job done. No issues. They didn't rush it and all lined up (socially distanced) with phones on for the start up and drive off. £700 for 4 new tyres fitted. Great job done and nice they showed the car so much respect. Faultless. Took it for a 120 mile drive home, just to check the tyres. Have to say I love the MPS4S tyres, much better on cold roads than the CUP 2S. Rears did 8500 miles but when they came off I was a tad embarrassed. They looked like new F1 tyres - smooth as a babies bum. No tread! 😲 No idea how that happened!

  7. Great result, nice to see "JPS" World Championship Esprits getting the attention and respect they deserve. Only 100 UK Domestic cars were built, rarer than those common white ones that leaked when driven underwater!

  8. Wow that’s a big surprise. Very nice JPS mind, certainly shows the market is strong at the moment. Dave

  9. You sure can slime tyres - but I’d not recommend it on performance vehicles. great for push bikes and tractors - but that’s probably where it’s best left.

  11. New MOT this morning with only an advisory for a rigid brake line which ill swap this week. Treated the car to a set of nice sticky rubber for the rear. The old tyres still had 6mm of tread but had gone off over time so i though i may as well go for something that wears a bit quicker and still will probably never get near the wear markers before they expire. The Exige lads seem to like em.

  12. Finally got this done. Paint underneath in very good nick. Some matte black wrap to go back on the sills so squash the shape down, but otherwise it looks amazing as its maker intended!

  19. Here's mine, how I specified it. I preferred the non premium interior of the earlier cars, there's a nice mix of materials.. Everything is interchangeable if you want to reupholster. Including the armrest.

  22. I've had to drag myself out of a mire of drunken self-pity for this. First, thanks to @Chillidoggy for sending this POS my way. Changed ECU, TPS, relevant relays, verified earths, logged numerous Freescan sessions, investigated glovebox, sunvisor & ashtrays (thanks so much to @Dan E and @JNW3 for their technical input). Had fuel pump out again and removed pulse damper. Checked absolutely feckin everything and still I'd get more speed out of the mother-in-law. The car starts, idles fine until any attempt at throttle, when it fades at around 2.5k and won't recover properly. At this point it seems to be sucking air like a vacuum cleaner and I have no idea why. Turn it off and it 'resets' itself, and we can play the same game all over again. Long chats today with @Chillidoggy and @CHANGES , and we're all confused. Might be an age thing though. Tomorrow I'll be swapping known good coils and ignition module, and maybe O2 sensor. Whip plenum off to get back to basics. Thereafter it's only injectors, and then I'll be heading to Beachy Head to toss myself off. Freescan file attached, showing idle and 3 attempts at throttle. Also 4 useful parameters charted here: GT3_3.xlsx

  29. Down in front of the gearstick area 👍👍 That’s very very important - warm her up so there’s at least one bar on the temp gauge - then press this button. It’s compulsory to do so.

  31. Having owned a 88hp vivaro - I can confirm the Evora does handle better - and even rattles less. get that car out and give it the beans - they are incredible cars - which you will only find out when on the gas hard👍👍

  32. 25fps to be fair for flicker free TV as our electricity is 50Hz so everything is filmed in 25fps. 24fps is used for cinema movies as they film and project at that frame rate.

  40. Well.... I test drove it and have bought it. What a fantastic little car. And what massive smiles it gave me today. New dash is great. Really adds a nice modern touch without a car having to be full of buttons and nonsense. Looking forward to sharing the experience with my family.

  42. Well I spoke too soon, Ashley from BOE has kindly replied to me! Due to the size of the undertrays, there's only a saving to be made on shipping up to two at once (One cooling tray shipped to the UK will be $140. Two trays $165.), as any more would get classed as freight and that gets a bit complicated for them.

  45. I hate people who hate all dogs. I recon those people who hate dogs should be eaten by those dogs - It might offend some people but meat is just meat at the end of the day. Lots of non dog owners are quite happy to offend lots of other people including other non dog owners and other sweeping statement making non dog owners. 😜
