  1. You have to be a member yes. Just like you have to pay certain forums for features and access If TLF were going to be at the Classic I would gladly join you for free but you're not and I love the Classic
  2. The stand is there for the benefit of owners who wish to display their cars, it's not a trade stall or there for any other reason. Being part of the club gives members access to stands at events such as the Silverstone Classic for FREE! The small fee only applies to non members. I don't think I've ever been paid to have my car on a stand nor would I expect to be, I do it for the enjoyment, and because otherwise I wouldn't be able to
  3. Hi Dave. No you do not need to directly join in order to book your tickets using the code, but there will be a one off charge on the weekend of £10 if you are not a member, this seems fair enough? There will be a large display area in the centre of the circuit to display your Lotus on over all three days of the event. Camping is also available at the circuit this year for club participants at a cost of £10 per night. The 2-4-1 early bird offer is up at the end of March so it's best if you can book your tickets before then. Entertainment Update: On Friday evening Silverstone Classic will rock to the celebrated sounds of the Rolling Stones, Bob Marley and Queen as three of the UK’s most acclaimed tribute bands roll back the years with sets featuring many of the best loved smash hits from the Sixties, Seventies & Eighties. Then, on Saturday evening, the Silverstone Classic stage will host live performances from a trio of rock and pop’s greatest names when legendary acts: Suzi Quatro, 10cc & Wishbone Ash take to the stage. Quatro had a string of hits in the Seventies and is widely credited as being a major role model for a host of raunchy female rockers. Wishbone Ash is hailed as one of the major innovators in the harmony twin lead guitar format and enjoyed huge critical success with albums such as Argus in the early Seventies. Art rock band 10cc also enjoyed major success in the same decade racking up no fewer than three number one hits. With three such celebrated live bands, it promises to be a memorable evening. Sunday’s musical entertainment switches from live stadium rock to the more relaxing atmosphere of the 40-piece Amadeus Orchestra playing many crowd pleasing classical favourites. Along with promising young tenor Adriano Graziani and energetic electric string quartet Tetra Electra, the acclaimed Amadeus Orchestra will be performing as part of the innovative ‘Picnic in the Paddock’ attraction for a relaxed afternoon.
  4. Very few is an understatement Bibs lol, but I think a fee of £27 in order to save a massive deal on ticket prices is extremely good value especially since this includes the best Lotus magazine around and a prime spot at this show. The Silverstone Classic has become one of the largest Classic Car events of the year so I'm sure there's a ton of users on here who would be interested in being part of this years event. See you there!
  5. Almost fully booked for this so if anyone else would like to attend, move quick
  6. Glad to hear a few of you are coming to this great event. The rest of TLF don't do very much

  8. Join the Lotus Drivers Club in Spring 2011 and take to the open road with an exhilarating drive through Ireland. Remote country pubs, staggering cliff faces and winding country roads, which cut through spectacular scenery, are sure to provide everything needed to best see the country. With the aid of our local Lotus enthusiast, Jon Miller, we will provide an itinerary and suggested accommodation for your visit. Whether you would like to join us for a long weekend break or a full length week tour, there will be plenty to see and do. There are to be many opportunities to enjoy fine food, stop for regular tea and coffee breaks, see stunning countryside and enjoy the complete experience of driving in Ireland. While the suggested tour itinerary will outline possible visits to many of Ireland’s most historical locations and attractions, our day to day itinerary is merely a suggested tour route and in fact, depending on the day, there may be a number of different routes that you can take. For full travel details, and information on booking, please download the itinerary. If you would like to contact us about this event or to confirm your interest please contact us at [email protected] LDC_Ireland_2011_itinerary.pdf
  9. I am running OS 4.01 and have had no problems syncing with Exchange (Server 2003). I have not heard from anyone having issues on the 3GS or iPhone 4 so I wouldn't worry about updating.
  10. Lotus Racing Formula 1 team merchandise and clothing is now available at Grand Prix Legends
  11. At this rate he will have to get on top and paddle across from Malaysia. I once ordered a bumper from Malaysia ... took no joke nearly a year to get to my house
  12. The Lotus Drivers Club have also got a large stand at the Classic again this year. A great place to show off your car as well as a base for lunch and social talk
  13. Hi Woza, Why don't you go along to the Lotus Drivers Club meeting also at the Bo'ness motor museum on the second Wednesday of each month. There is also a Scotland Tour starting on the 27th May and we are finishing in the Edinburgh area so would be good to meet up. Jim Grant, has put together a brilliant week long tour. Details can be found on our website here and also our community forum here Hope for Sunshine
  14. What we've all been waiting for! A long time for too! Shame I can't actually order my Heikki t-shirt ... can only get as far as "Free Shipping for Buyers within Malaysia"! That takes the mick. Postage is also pricey (£15.00) and a massive shipping time for those ordering to the UK (14 to 28 days from dispatch).
