  1. my car had those stickers still on the car when i bought it, they had put it on the car from new, 5 years ago i removed it, so orginal is my car.... never been rebuild or restored.... only a respray, i put the stripes back on...
  2. wanne know something more about prices, and also 4 and 5 stud wheels??
  3. so only 2 bond cars left in the world, the one from @Lex Templar and my car, the wheels will be soon rebuild, engine is back in the car, now she is almost ready for selling, its allready on classifields but if you are interested, i am open for offers (nearby my asking price, no silly offers please...) and do you want some more info about the car, please send me a private message, its 10982 chassis number the last full james bond Spec car ever build ....
  4. it was a RHD car, and yess peter delfgaauw still owns the company, ofcourse did i ask my friend / mate about the number on the Essex, but he dont know anymore, must be 015 or 019 ... parts are sold by peter to lotus bits, and i think the wheels are sold to the guy who made 2 early esprits with compomotive wheels, the black / gold car that i had, and a copper fire one, and the wheels from my black gold one, must be the old wheels from 015 or 020 i bought the wheels back, so i will use them under a LHD esprit Turbo that i will remake as a early Esprit in copper fire colour (
  5. almost right, its the guy who started Vansten engineering (his name was Maarten) he died on young age by cancer... he started up the company with 2 other guys, and one of them had a Essex Esprit (i know him very well) but he dont know the number anymore, when the company was given or sold (i dont know) to one of his people who work for maarten at the time, that guy sold all the parts that they had in stock (old parts) and also the essex from my friend in parts because the parts from the car where also on the upper floor so they sold it all to Lotus bits, its a real shame!
  6. Thats the Essex from holland? that also was broken down by Van sten (the netherlands lotus garage) and Lotus bits bought the parts... back in the days....
  7. wow great with that early 5 stud wheels, looks really cool!
  8. i have some other plans in mind, so i need to sell this very rare 1 of the 2 james bond lotus esprit turbo car the car stands for sale under Classifieds its a rare chance to get into a real bond car from factory, hopefully it gets a good owner!
  9. what a nice article is that, and what did you have a long time spent on this beauty, i gone do the same with a LHD but not as good as you did, (i think) i keep the steering wheel black and so on... but it will get compomotives but no roof stereo,
  10. no thats 953 thats Alexander his one, this is the other one what is still out there, it has a red interior, (but its deliverd orginal with brown leather) so i will make it orginal again,
  11. The #951 is no longer alone, now #982 is next to her, (982 is one of the 4 ever build full james bond spec cars ever deliverd by lotus) today there are still 2 on this earth thats mine and the 953 from alexander! love those early cars!!!! (#951 and #982 are both deliverd by bell and covill) waiting for a Essex!
  12. i had a chat with Lex yesterday, and thats why i thought the cars are build with a black chassis (and underneath ofcourse galvanised silver) but out of the factory they look black, my car (951) is not been restored, and still has a black chassis, thats why i thought every early chassis must be black deliverd, (later ones without paint on the chassis just normal galvanised silver) so its true that the early cars had a black paint job above the galvanised silver chassis, great find!
  13. then this also must be 952.. and lotus needed also a new ad. to sell the "normal" Esprit Turbo, so i think they used this one, because its a early one,
  14. it also has the later front lights, so for sure no essex,
  15. and this also is #952 then (the car in the ad.)? or not?
