Is this the same one they had for sale on consignment earlier this year? It seems priced high and waiting for the market to reach it…

Well done, I’ve been looking for a while but working overseas makes it tricky. 🙄
  4. The “large platform” collection.
  5. A little off topic but I bought my Turbo Esprit HC unseen while I was overseas. Sent the full asking price in advance to a man in another country for a car I’d never seen, but he was a director at Rolls Royce cars 👍. I flew back to Gatwick, did the deal and drove 5 hours home in the dark. Thankfully everything worked. 😆
  6. Both are the last of the original style...

I was tempted to get the blue one that was for sale recently. My feelings were the same about it being a better daily but still a GT430, indeed the Sport was the fastest Lotus road car ever! But, I decided against it because there was no meaningful visual differentiation between it and a GT410. Shame they didn’t keep the wheel arch vents. I’m shallow, I know 😉
  8. They decided not to it. It’s a pity, I would have been tempted to trade my SR for a GT420 with a special badge.
  9. Just discovered this thread. Had my 2013 manual Sports Racer S (venom red) for a while, always felt it would become the equivalent of the Turbo Esprit HC... the most desirable and developed of the original style
  10. A quick snap when I did a car swop...wish I’d closed the doors, it looks like they want to be McLarens 😉
  11. It’s a while since I traded my NA for the S but I think the real world, on the road acceleration of the S “feels” significantly more than the NA for overtaking etc... but as I said, they all have that Evora magic. These will be VERY sought after in the future.
  12. Hi Chris, not sure if you are referring to the USA model which didn’t get the new front. I’m comparing the 400 to the GT410/430 not the US GT. The main styling points on the 400 that put me off are the 3 piece wing(too disjointed/fussy) and the front bumper intakes(too Audi/Lambo). The GT410/430 seemed to return to the Lotus design language which also improved the aero package. Just personal preference. I’m intrigued to see what the Type131 will look like.
  13. It is a personal thing, I’ve owned both and wouldn’t go back to an NA. But I also wouldn’t have a 4xx either (styling). The GTxxx range saved the day for the Evora... great to have 3 variants for all tastes and all with the Evora magic!

  15. £36k for a NA Sport Racer, seems a little high. I’d expect that for an S SR. Good news for those with one already.

  18. Thanks for removing the temptation. At least now I don’t have to advertise my S1 Sport Racer. 🙄👍
  19. I got a reply from Ben Field at Vintage Tyres, who I think is the contact that Rich was using: "I am hoping to have a 205/60R14 tyre available late this year, early next. Price will be around the £170 mark each plus VAT." http://vintagetyres.com/
  20. Any update? I’m having my Elite rims refurbished and new tyres would be good to have. cheers.

Those bloody sail panels!! They were under engineered on the S1, to keep the same material on the GT range makes my heart sink. I just hope the LED “sidelights” were sorted for the GT.
