  4. Wow guys that was fast. Just spoken with Leon, he will start production this week. Alunox are willing to let this Group Buy offer to run on a bit longer if anyone else is interested. Can everyone who has put their name down e-mail Nicky at Alunox on [email protected] with their shipping address so she can work out the final invoice. She will reply with Alunox's bank details so you can make the bank transfer for payment. I will keep everyone updated on progess Thanks Mark K

  8. Track Day Run with Alunox performance products For those of you that haven’t seen this video under the Events section of the forum, I will host here as well. I took the Esprit to Castle Combe this year to test all the Alunox components under track conditions. I’ve put together this video to help demonstrate the performance increases and reliability of the upgraded parts from Alunox. The weather did give us a mixture of conditions to contend with, drying out as the sessions went on. I’ve shot it full HD1080p so you can adjust your playback setting if your broadband will support it. The Alunox full system passed noise testing at 96 dBA, the limit at the Castle Combe circuit is 100dBA. I’ve trained a small camera on the manifold shown in my last track session 9 minutes and 25 seconds into this video. I’m not sure about how the camera has translated the colour of the manifold as its glowing, but you get the idea The upgraded radiator set maintained engine temperature throughout the sessions. The upgraded charge cooler kept induction temperatures down and as a result I found no drop of performance when calling for repeated boost when exiting the corners. The overall driving experience is greatly enhanced with a reduction in turbo lag and faster spool up. This gave a bigger punch in power delivery and torque due to the flow characteristics of the manifold. What was also noticeable was the accuracy in throttle response becoming more progressive, giving me better control of over steer when exiting the chicanes. You can see the manifold cooling as I easy off the gas, demonstrating the extra induction cooling effect from the upgraded charge cooler. http://youtu.be/I72XLBfQ5gE Mark K
  9. Hi Dan, no problem 1) Spud 2) CarlC 3) Ed 4) Bosse 5) Cam 6) Dan Mark K
  10. I have attended Castle Combe on and off for the last 10 years. I had a great day this year and I’ve put together this little video of track sessions. The weather did give us a mixture of conditions to contend with. I’ve shot it full HD1080p so you can adjust your playback setting if your broadband will support it. The Alunox full system passed noise testing at 96 dBA. All the modifications held up well and proved a good testing ground. I’ve trained a small camera on the manifold shown in my last track session 9 minutes and 25 seconds into this video. I’m not sure about how the camera has translated the colour of the manifold as its glowing, but you get the idea http://youtu.be/I72XLBfQ5gE Mark K

  14. Hi Cam , its the same manifold as this one. I sure we have some GT3's who may have fitted from previous group buys. Mark K
  15. Any one travelling down the M5 from Birmingham in the morning , we could meet up in services. Mark K
  16. For those of you interested , check out the Bac Mono on Lotus Talk , have a look at the badge on the manifold http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f195/s111-bac-mono-update-thread-122156/ Look familiar Mark
  17. Hi Neil, I think the main rad will fit and like you say your oil cooler is in the centre. The group but is for the full set , do you have air con ? could you send me some pictures of your existing setup. Mark
  18. OK Jan, 1) Kenny West 2) Ian Armstrong 3) Jan Pettersen Can arrange shipping to either, what ever is best for you Mark K
  19. Hi Ian, when you remove the ducting for the oil cooler , you just need to make a cut with a hacksaw in the rear ducting, the smaller one of the two. I put masking tape on and marked a line about 10mm in before cutting. The ducting comes off you you can do this on the bench. All it does is allow for the extra width of the new oil cooler. I can provide more photos if needed. Ramjet I will try and find out if we can get a price by shipping. Bibs feel free if you have any ideas. Mark K
  20. Hi Ed, thanks, are you on Lotus Talk, if so could you post and I can you photos . Mark
  21. For those of you who follow the FIA World Endurance Championship series racing, Alunox who supply parts for Lotus have just completed a full race exhaust system for this LMP2 race car. It’s been constructed from combination of 321 Stainless Steel and Inconel. The tube diameter is 54mm thin wall, only 0.8 mm thick. Alunox have designed the system to the race teams specification. Notice the use of the slip joints similar to those used on the Esprit manifold. The tubes were also constructed in house, rolled and seam welded. There are only a few suppliers in the UK that could undertake such work, Alunox being one of them. The system is extremely light whilst being able to with stand the temperatures and vibrations of endurance racing. Lotus do compete in this series, maybe Alunox will do a system for our team one day.
  22. Hi Bibs, the dimensions of the box are 100cm x 60cm x 60cm and the weight is 30KG weight, the quote was by air. Ramjet , the pipes don't have to be 19mm , Alunox would make it with the standard. All I would say is go with the 19mm and reduce down to the 16mm ,leaving the option to upgrade the rest of the system at a later date. You will just be increasing the volume in the system slightly which won't be a problem. I will put the question about manufacturing under license to Alunox. Mark K
  23. Hi Ramjet, I've managed to get a price for shipping , its £330 + VAT and it takes 5 days. You are welcome to arrange shipping yourself if you can get a better price. Mark
