  4. GLAMIS 11-12 JULY Coronavirus/Covid 19 - 15th April 2020 The rate of spread of the Covid 19 virus continues unabated and Government lockdown measures and restrictions on movement and gatherings are being held in place for an indefinite period. Given these restrictions the Trustees of the Club regret to announce that the Scottish Transport Extravaganza due to be held in the grounds of Glamis Castle on the 11/12 July 2020 has been cancelled. This is done in compliance with Government guidelines and in the interest of safety to participants and the general public. The timescale for resumption of Club activities in a normal manner is uncertain at this challenging time, however, the SVVC will endeavor to provide regular updates on the position and will be focusing on the advice issued by the Government and continue to be guided by that. In compliance with the general lock-down order the premises at Bridge View House will remain closed until further notice. With this in mind if you have entered and paid for an entry this year whether it be Vehicular, Stand or Car Club we will be offering the option of carrying your entry forward to the 2021 event which will take place on 10th and 11th July. If this is not an option for you then a refund can be issued. The administrator will be contacting all entrants in due course. Please keep an eye on our website www.svvc.co.uk, follow Facebook (@svvc.glamis) this page or email Lesley on [email protected] if you have any questions. Allan Burt Chairman

  9. This event is not organised by Club Lotus NE Scotland. Alan Sharpe is the organizer. Destination this year is Haddo Estate, Tarves AB41 7EQ Distance is about 20 miles. We will meet at Aberdeen Beach Esplanade AB24 5NR at 09:30 am. Line up along the esplanade. If we all point North and park at an angle this should make a good photo opportunity and an easier departure. All owners are welcome to join the Run . The Run will set off at 10:00 along the Esplanade towards the Bridge of Don. At the traffic lights turn Right (you can use both lanes) Take the second exit at the next two roundabouts onto the A90 Ellon Road. At the next roundabout take the First exit onto the B999 towards Tarves. Continue on the B999 for 13.5 miles and turn Right at the Raxton/Haddo House sign. If you get to Tarves you missed the turn off. At the T junction go straight ahead into the Haddo Estate. The car park is about two miles into the estate which is run by Aberdeenshire Council who have given us permission to use the car park. Ordinary visitors will use the overflow park. Both the cafes will do a cheap offer of a coffee and bacon butty for us. the GVRS SITE gvrs.net/Home.htm gvrs.net/ditday.htm
