This is down to the seat colours. If you choose a seat cover other than black (red/blue/orange/white) then the seat harness holes and window controls stay black - so it doesn't clash with the seat colour. If you choose black seats (with any stitching) then you interior colour is done to all 4 parts.

Car to point the finger to which dealer? This is an upgrade that really interests me. -
Soft top conversion

The hard top design is the same on the Exige as the Elise and VX220. Even the S2 Exige had a removable roof. The only thing to question is that the roadster variant of the Exige was speed limited to around 150mph - this might be due to the strength of the soft top? -

My vx220 used to live under a cover. Was a breathable very thin material. Never had any issues at all at that was used all year round. -

Mine was done by the dealer when I bought my car brand new. The hard top is removable and the roadster came with a soft top. -
I don't think many people option this (I haven't) due to noise restrictions at our tracks in UK/Europe. Isn't it a lot louder?
-
So @JG220 has switched to Vivid, very nice. Isotope was definitely on my radar along with Essex blue - spec sounds great @CocoPops - didn't think you liked black wheels?
-
They were always limited on how many could be made before they dismantle the production line.

You can ceramic over PPF?
-
Sold already - not surprised.
-
Stunning!!! What area's did you get PPF fitted to? That looks soooo shiney, did you get it ceramic coated as well? Have my order of a Fire Red 250 FE and can't wait.

I was close to asking for my 250 Cup to be made in this colour - love it!
-
Since lotus has adopted this for their cars I’d assumed the unit worked. As said above I do hope you’ve just been unlucky this time.
-
It’s probably better if it doesn’t come with it so you can fit better stuff instead.

What is missing from the FE cars? And how much/easy is the upgrade? -
Exige Cup260 - Restoration and some tweaks
TonyKL replied to MrP_'s topic in Projects & Restorations
Thanks, I fitted the AC100/AC130 in my current V6 and remember the faff it was fitting in the dash, can't actually remember how things ended up (it's that long ago I drove the car!) but the fitted well in the end. -
Exige Cup260 - Restoration and some tweaks

Very nice! I'm wondering whether to fit the PC range over the AC range in my new lotus. Do you think there is a winner between the two and also an improvement installing the baffles? -
Oil filler cap looks similar to these... https://www.gregsraceparts.com/collections/dress-up/products/grp-lotus-oil-caps-for-elise-exige-evora-w-toyota-engine

Makes the Evija look huge.
-
The hard top is removable and doesn’t add the the structure of the car. Maybe adds a few squeaks here and there.
-
Yes we do. Motorsport Green is a lovely colour and I'd be happy with that but I feel it is too similar to the Military Grey hence the (to quote @stephenwhyte) left turn to Fire Red. I did consider an Essex Blue but doesn't quite have the pop of the red (plum crazy is another great colour). If it's not to be an Exige then it will be an Elise. The Evora is just too big.
-
Yes, it will be Fire Red but it might not be an Exige.

I've had my MG Exige (from new) since 2015 so I think it's time for a colour change but I don't have any regrets on my choice, possibly one of the first in that colour. Only saw a swatch at the factory prior to ordering.
