  1. So, fingers crossed, they should reach me before I depart for Spain on the 17th?
  2. I'm not into Folkestone until 1425 so if you're still sitting in the layby @Kimbers when I drive past, I'll know that you really have broken down.
  3. 1. Bibs - Ticket Purchased 2. Pascal Massun - 2 tickets purchased 3. Pascal Massun - 2 tickets purchased 4. David Boyd - Ticket Purchased - (if I'm still stuck on the M25, can you send me a burger via carrier pigeon please?)
  4. Despite my mini-rant in the 'Unhappy' thread, they were still worth the expense of getting them here. Another great item from Sherman at HethelSport - just got to hope for a dry day now to get them fitted. (key there for a sense of scale)
  5. Last week, I ordered a couple of lovely enamel and metal badges retailed by HethelSport in the US. Today, I was left a card by Royal Mail saying that they can't deliver them as "there is a fee to pay", namely a customs charge. OK, so I suppose we've all got to pay our taxes and I've been lucky so far in that this is the first time ever that I've had to pay anything on a personal import, so it came as a bit of a surprise especially on something of relatively low value. Off to the sorting office I go to collect them and pay the fee which was calculated as follows: import duty of 2.7% o
  6. Had similar to @Relic222 at the Dumfries Car Show a couple of weeks back. I lost count of the number of people walking past who would first-off utter "Oh, it's a Lotus" followed by a walk around to the back of the car and "Evora? Never seen/heard of that one".
  7. This "pussy whipped metro boy" WAS giving you a lift to the factory on the 29th - hope you enjoy the walk!
  8. No danger of that with my 2bular - no 'wool' packing inside the box and the bypass valve permanently open. You could drown out a Motörhead concert with it, .
  9. @electro_boy Sorry to jump in there and beat you up but I thought you'd had a change of mind from the wording of your previous post, . I'll certainly do some videos - just got to sort out a better camera to shoot them on. The mic on my current one is already overwhelmed by the wall of sound coming out of my valve-open 2bular and there is no facility to plug-in a better external one; with the Radium as well it'll go into total meltdown, .
  10. Sorry to be a pest @Bibs but do you know roughly when will the tickets be sent out? - just concerned that I may need to change the delivery address to my B&B in Norwich as I'm out of the country from the 17th to the 28th then going straight to Norfolk on my return.
  11. Thanks for the suggestion/reminder - I've used that before when trying to reach the A1/M1 from the Channel.
  12. I'm departing Murcia on the Wednesday morning, overnighting near Millau. Then after spending the morning playing on some of the amazing twisties in the Parc National des Cévennes, on to near Troyes Thursday night, and through the tunnel on Friday (departs Calais 1450 local time) to arrive in Folkestone at 1425. Just got to work out how to get over the Thames during the Friday late afternoon madness, .
  13. @a7esk If electro_boy passes on this, I'd be interested in being kept in the loop if you do decide to put your CAI up for general sale.
  14. A friend just posted this up as a 'memory' on Facebook. It's from 2 years ago at the Royal Deeside Speed Festival - I didn't see it when she originally posted it and it's the first time I've really heard what my P&J sounds like from the outside, exhaling through its 2bular with the valve open. Crank the volume up to 11!
  15. Turned out to be the wheel speed sensor on the front nearside. With my imminent roadtrip to Spain, I also went with the recommendation to replace the rear discs - it wasn't a complete surprise as I'd been advised when I had the fronts done a few months back that the rears were not long for this world - and then new Michelin PS4S's fitted to the rear wheels whilst they were off anyway (the Pirellis probably wouldn't have lasted to Spain and back either), that's the best part of £1200 gone and it's only Wednesday. Here's hoping for a few overtime shifts in the next couple of weeks.
  16. Displaying at Bo'ness so will unfortunately have to pass on the bacon buttie pitstop.
  17. Freudian slip most likely - when you go to Wales, it feels like you're in exile.
  18. Not too difficult at all - a little bit of moderate heat (hair dryer) first then some gentle 'sawing' with a length of fishing line or similar and finally some spirit to remove the last of the adhesive residue.
  19. Nice job - just needs black badging now to enhance further the de-chromed look.
  20. Maybe the car has just thrown a hissy-fit over the thought of @C8RKH getting in the passenger's seat, . Could well be that switch. I had it adjusted at the recent service to try and cure the hair trigger on turning off the cruise control if you so much as went over a leaf lying on the road so it's possibly taken a dislike to being fiddled with, .
  21. The Evora has sat unused since Tuesday. Went out just now to take it for a cobweb-blowing blast and the ABS and Traction Control warning lights are staying on. Bu99er!
  22. Mine has, or rather had, worked perfectly since I got the car 3+ years ago. Got into the car a couple of weeks back and - no light? Commented about it and my good lady, who was already in the passenger's seat, piped up "Oh, it seemed to be staying on a long time so I switched it off". I haven't managed to get it working since, .
  23. @C8RKH My offer (twice in fact) not good enough then Andy? I know it's a 2+2 and how you feel about them, so I can take a hint!
  24. Sorry to be yet another pain amongst many, , but how close is closer? Once I leave for Spain in the early hours of September 18th, I won't be home again until after the event.
