  12. Well I have just purchased my first Lotus elise s1 year 2000, in good condition too, but don't have much working knowledge on them, this site was recommended so here I am, im really excited as its now a bit of a winter project for me, so a couple of basic questions if anyone can help. The alarm beep when armed does not sound the lights flash as supposed too but no sound, checked fuses as per handbook and the car is standard, also discs and pads need changing all round any tips on what to buy not expensive? I want to keep it standard and its not for the track, I just want to bring it in to the 21st century, Regards Mike
