  1. I’m not so bothered about the prep / delivery charge, it’s the road tax that grinds my gears
  2. Q Mech - Andy is absolutely fantastic
  3. I contacted Williams Bristol shortly after the 400 was launched expressing my interest. They didn’t have the courtesy to respond to a mail or phone call. Needless to say I went elsewhere and ended up with a new 400. With the Emira order I registered with Silverstone despite it being a 2.5 hr drive from my home (Bristol 30 mins).
  4. If the Lotus team at Hq are designing it then I am sure it’ll look great
  5. I’ll wait to see the final product, these renderings are never that accurate
  6. I use OctopusEnergy and I can vary my DD at will
  7. The Honours system has no honour
  8. Maybe with the backing of Geely, Lotus will be able to offer a more comprehensive package
  9. I am not sure about the sports car market but for sure, most people that I know who purchase new cars do so on Finance. Ensuring that any new Lotus produced has a range of financing / leasing options will be key to increased growth.
  10. This is a pivotal moment in the history of the company.

Would you also kindly send one over to me. Thanks!
  12. The key point is that the "head honcho" is keeping tabs on social media and responding - it is positive. And yes - people with any common sense would realise that initial loses would be expected before production ramps up - but it is comforting to know that those in power are responding and making it clear to the doom and gloom merchants.
  13. Mr Windle is keeping an eye on social media. There have been a few posts in Lotus Groups about the Telegraph article noting the loss for the last financial year. Matt was quick to reassure that this was as to be expected and is all taken care of so to speak.
  14. I'd have thought that the owners would have factored in some short term losses, there was no way on earth that existing vehicle sales would have funded development in the business, site and new vehicles.
  15. I live with several people who are rubbish drivers as evidenced by my partners kerbed alloys. My son who is a Police Officer, he has owned five cars to date: First Car - reversing down a hill and scraped the car against a wall. Damaged the rear quarter - happened in the first two weeks of driving. Second Car - Dented the front bumper when parking. Third Car - Fell asleep whilst driving on the motorway, hit the central reservation and literally damaged every panel along the drivers side of the vehicle. He failed to pay for the vehicle repairs to this started to rust - badly. A few months later he decided that "it was too dangerous to go work, as the employer (not Police at the time) could not guarantee his safety to get home". He then proceeded to drive past his employer (by around 10 miles) to collect his girlfriend. He crashed on the way home and damaged the rear bumper. Fourth Car - Reversing into a parking bay and hit the right rear corner of the vehicle. Required around £400's worth of repairs. Fifth Car - Bought the car new, within three days he put a crease along the drivers rear quarter panel when he misjudged driving around a corner in a multi-storey car park. Three months later the vehicle has not been repaired as he cannot afford the repairs. In the meantime he has gone away for at least 4 weekends away, booked a foreign holiday for next year, had pretty much daily amazon delivered and had at least two meals out a week. Go figure.
  16. I just wish that the Government would bugger off with these restrictions. I was quite happy with the sound of the 400.
  17. It’s a great initiative that I took up when I collected my 400. It brings you into the Lotus fold.
  18. I work four miles from home. I’d need to get two separate busses and it’d take over an hour to get to work. I like just outside a town of 40,000. It’s a joke.
  19. To be fair he had a bigger impact on the outcome of the championship that Bottas.
  20. FIA has been a farce for as long as I have watched. Massi has put the sport in the spotlight, and for all the wrong reasons. If I was Mercedes or a sponsor of the team I would be absolutely livid that a race result was artificially created. Imagine spending hundreds of millions on developing a car only for that to happen.
