More realistic . Used them 4 times selling cars. Just check tyre tread depth as couple of times I had to sweeten the deal with new tyres on the rear

Wow that’s shot up over the years then. Never paid anywhere near that when I used them in years gone by. At those costs might as well agree a reserve and use Collecting Cars where buyer pays 7.2% . Just stick to reserve as they have tendency to try and talk you into lowering it on last day.
  3. I’ve seen 35% wiped off my main stocks in pension this year. If I was looking to purchase an annuity then I would be worried , as I would have to take that hit “now”. However as I’m looking to use a flexible drawdown of pension pot over next 25 years, there is plenty of time for market to recover and make some. This explains the risk angle well.
  4. Found this guys videos very informative . Worth having a scan of his channel and watching a few that are relevant to you
  5. Main concern I would have buying a used car now, is the the amount they have risen in last 18 months. When that corrects that’s a big hit of additional depreciation.
  6. My understanding is the 25% tax free part of a private pension is there whether you decide to take as a lump sum, or as part of a regular draw down over the years. I’ve decided to go latter as unless you need the lump sum, as others state just leave it in pension to hopefully accumulate growth and drawdown when needed.
  7. Planned to retire at 55 and hammered money into pension in last 4 years including all, back allowances. Best bit of advice I was ever given was the true value of your life between 55-65 is worth 4 x that of between 65-75, taking into account health, mortality. So I did 2 things to help model retirement. :- 1) downloaded all bank statements for last year into a spreadsheet and tag group the amounts to house bills, car , etc etc. From that I established the minimum I needed to live a comfortable life with a more basic car, house and less hols, that I would be happy with. 2) created a 2nd spreadsheet that totalled up all my pensions, for wife and I , plus savings , plus equity release from downsizing. From that I modelled what I could “drawdown” from pension each year against my age, take from savings and also take into account state pension at 67 onwards. For us personally we wanted a bit more money when younger so front loaded based on following calcs - reserve 25% of all pots for contingency - between age 55-66 drawdown approx 5% of pension and savings each year - between age 67-80 drawdown approx 3% of pension and savings each year - basically aim to empty the pots by 80 enjoying life , with 25% reserve in place plus state pension. it’s a very simple model but works for us, to such an extent that whilst I’m only 53 I retired a month ago as had enough of rat race. Note this is something that works for us, but may not for others so please do your research and take professional advice if needs be. Now have dilemma of whether to proceed with June Emira and enjoy for a few months at minimal loss or possibly none, or just bail and enjoy the Plus 2. Either way enjoying life whilst you can is the most important thing. YOLO.
  8. Had one of the first Premier Edition A110 when they came out. Great to drive in the B roads, extremely rapid and gearbox was fine. Ultimately I didn’t gel with the looks so moved it on. At the time I remember saying an A110 with Lotus looks would be my ideal car. (tried to insert link to thread on this forum but it’s not working. I’ll mention OP in said thread instead. ) Re McLaren I did my research after selling my AMG GT via Alistair Bols ( probably largest indie used mclaren seller) . Great guy to deal with asked frankly if I was to buy a used 570S and keep for 12 months, what would it honestly cost to own taking into account SOR fees renew warranty etc to sale. His advice was £20k would be realistic cost . Hope that helps.
  9. Well I’ve had a GT3 and a couple of Evoras and totally different beasts. Personally I found the Evora not to be a great track car in stock trim (GT430 excluded), vs likes of an Exige V6 and way off any GT3. Preferred Evora as a road car though Of course this is all personal views and everyone has a different one, so all good in the hood 🤜🤛
  10. Too heavy for track work imho, as found the Exige much better for track work than Evora. Instead I’ll enjoy the Cotswold roads around me and a trip to the highlands 😁
  11. Congrats. Loved the handling of mine . Enjoy.
  12. Love the photos. Any chance you can share more photos from other angles on the car, as best chance for us to imagine how it will look on the Emira ?
  13. Red leather , Spider-Man style 😝
  14. Did a fly by a friend in the Evora 400 auto at full revs on the motorway and was told there was some nice blue flame from the exhaust at upshift. The 400 was actually too loud when on it. A tad quieter will be perfect 👍
