  1. £500 for the set of four.....anyone? Bloody bargain!
  2. Mine is a SWLC cast version and it's definitely dumbed down my acceleration a tadge. Not happy with it.
  3. Right, I definitely don't like these Michelins (see above post) They grip well, especially in the wet but give too much feed back via the steering wheel for my liking. They feel every bump and rut. Some people may like that but Im not keen. I shall have to sell the tires and look for something else.
  4. I had the manifold on my GT 3 replaced about 18 months ago. I'm not sure where it came from but I'll ask the guy who do Did the work. (ithought it was an OEM part) I have noticed that since replacing it, the initial acceleration is not as aggressive which is majorly disappointing as it was rapid before. I'm going to have to do some more research.
  5. Hi, Has anyone ever had their Esprit engine stripped and refurbished / cleaned up / tuned? Mt Gt3 now has 85k on the clocks and was thinking about having the engine rebuilt next year. There's nothing wrong with it at the moment but I was thinking more in the lines of preventative maintenance. I may be playing with fire though. I am located in SW London. Thanks
  6. I have just put Michelin PS2 on the front and could onlly find a set of PS3 for the rear and i did this all very last minute and needed them for a trip to Le Mans Classic, where I am as we speak. I was worried about doing this as the 3s are slightly sticker, however, they have the same tread pattern and I don't track the car. My findings so far: The steering at the front seems lighter which I dont like. I like the planted feel. I have dropped down to 28 psi which has helped but it still donesn't feel 100% There are no major problems andd they are a massive mprovement in the wet over the P9000s which I had on before BUT they still don't feel planted. My winter tyres on my Cayenne are the same. Lighter steering, makes the front end feel lighter and travels up to the steering wheel. Am I making sense? What is the cause of this? How can I improve on it? What tyre pressure do people reccommend for the front and rear? The P9000s were good in the dry and felt perfect but were bloody dangerous in the wet!
  7. I maybe interested in the Elite one. Has anyone got one? Thoughts
  8. Job done Bibs, thanks. I do not have the indicator audio tick tick tick now, and the ABS light is still flashing when the side lights are on. Someone has also kindly bashed my front bumper and cleared off. Just after I had it all fixed and put new Armor Fend on too. Nice!
  9. Hmmm, having mixed bulbs is kind of pointless for me as I want the bulbs to look the same.
  10. Hi, did anyone come up with a final solution to all of this?
  11. Hi all, I've recently fitted Led bulbs to front and rear indicators, side lights, rear lights and brake lights. Now my indicators flash too fast. Any ideas on how to correct this please?
  12. Alex, did you have problems with indicators flashing too fast? I think I saw something on the forums but cant find it and need to sort itout asap.
  13. Yeah, I definately feel like the pads aren't biting hard enough with gentle pressure when I haven't been using them much, especially when on motorways etc. I would like a pad that feels like it's stopping you, immediately. I have also noticed that if you panic brake and slam on the brake pedal hard, they grip, the wheels lock for a millisecond and the ABS cuts in immediately, too fast if you ask me. I would prefer to brake more before the ABS cuts in. If you progressively apply the brake hard, the ABS rarely cuts in until a bit later. HOWEVER, I would very much like to have better braking power from cold pads, so.......any suggestions of pads that will fit the AP calipers, other than the origional pads? Danke
  14. I found my suspension started going on my GT3 a couple of years ago, so I decided to replace all four corners. I went for the Lotus recommended Bilstein and Eibach ones as described on LEW and find them good. I don't track but push the car on the roads and have travelled most mountain ranges in Europe on them. I'm a fussy bloke with the car and if something doesn't feel right, the slightest twich, then I notice. I am happy with this set up http://www.lotusespritworld.com/EGuides/EModifications/Lotus_Suspension.html
