  1. So the banner saying "See you next year" was just a tease? 2019 celebrates 30 years of the Elan M100 so it would be good for Lotus to have some sort of celebration for that event. Even if we go there alone
  2. Had a fantastic day yesterday and a GOOD job done by all involved in this excellent event and hope it continues into next year. Well done everyone involved in the organisation. Thank you Bibs. The M100 clan thoroughly enjoyed it. A few of us in the queue to get into Hethel.
  3. Morning Bibs As I'm away for a few days this week could you advise whether the LEC allocation is confirmed as I see that my pm sent 10th August has still not been read. Regards Trevor
  4. Hi Bibs I emailed and pm'd you on 10th August on behalf of LEC club tickets and area. Haven't heard anything and the pm still shows as unread. Could you advise whether this request is still pending in the mass that you are know doubt sifting through. Many thanks Trevor
  5. Martyn, it is with regret that I have to pull out of this event, sorry about that, I am currently No. 35 on the list. Thanks for all the work you do. Trevor

  7. Thank you Bibs for all the organisation another great day especially as this was most unexpected. Where can I find the official photographs that were taken?
  8. After a great 3 days away at the Classic Wings and Wheels event in Gilze-Rijen, Holland thought I would post a few photo's from the day. There are lots more photos on the Lotus Club of Holland website: https://www.lotusclubholland.nl/nl/evenementen/evenementen-2017/evaluatie-40-jaar-lotus-club-holland
  9. The journey starts tomorrow and I've been preparing 'Merlot' for the trip. Hoping we return looking just as good as the Lotus Festival at Brands is only a week away.
  10. I shall be attending the 40 years of Lotus Club Holland at the Classic Wings & Wheels event at Gilze-Rijen Airport on 26th August. The entries for this event closes on 5th August and I was wondering whether anyone else on TLF are also attending. We shall be travelling over on the Thursday prior in my M100 and staying in the Van der Valk Hotel, Breda. 11. First year I can't make it and there is a section for M100 !! Will a photo do ?
  12. Martyn, thanks for the notification and I shall be coming along. M100 in silk red. Trevor
  13. Out of curiosity, are there any spaces available after the dropouts? TrevorB
  14. Back from service and successful MOT but also had some additional work done. Springs, suspension and wishbones dismantled then sand blasted and wax oiled, put back together. A great job done by Maidstone Sports Cars and it all looks very tidy underneath now.
  15. Yesterday I went on a much anticipated 'factory tour'. This was given to me as a present last Christmas. Due to circumstances over the year and other dates being fully booked this was the first opportunity I had to attend and it was booked a couple of months ago. On arrival at reception I was handed my security label and sat waiting for other enthusiasts to arrive. At 1.45 the receptionist told me that I could drive in and gave me directions to meet Rob who was the guide today. I asked where everyone else was and to my surprise I was the only one on the tour, so there I was a one-to-one tour. What an experience and I can't thank LOTUS and particularly Rob for that very personal tour. During the introduction Rob spoke about the closure of the Driving Academy but stated that the 'factory tours' will continue and the website is being updated to reflect the changes. Unfortunately as 'Merlot' is currently SORN'ed for a couple of months over winter I was unable to drive up there in her. For those of you who haven't yet done the tour I would highly recommend it and I would do it again. Trevor
