Sorry to hear about this, I would guess that it's pretty rare - that's what we're all hoping anyway...
i think you need to check the engine bay on the Happy Meal model, could be some random bits of Big Mac in there...
EDIT - Unboxing video here ?

Anybody selling a near new car will take a bath at a dealers. That’s life.
If extra performance is needed, then the TVS1900 / Komotec route sounds a sensible idea.
More of a cold shower than a bath I'd say !

Doesn't the stereo have a USB input on the front? Before I installed my USB ports I used the one in the stereo with a very short cable.
I fitted a better head unit that has a USB input on the front, but I have a USB thumb drive in there with my MP3s on it. The head unit does have a rear USB input (on a trailing lead) so if I could find a way through the dash top, I could potentially have that as the power for the windscreen mounted phone/Nav.

How about a extension cable and just poke it through a panel gap? Or the side of the instrument cluster surround. At least it's easy to get to and replace.
Hi Gav, hope you're keeping well - I suspect the lovely GTE isn't seeing much tarmac at this time of year?
That sounds like a good shout re the USB - I'll have a poke around and see what the options are..
-
I have a V6 Roadster with the convenience pack, so it has the USB socket already fitted on the passenger side.
Has anyone ever considered the possibility of installing a subtle USB socket on the top of the dashboard somewhere centrally? I sometimes need power up there for my phone when using it as a Sat Nav - and I hate having cables draping over the front of the dash. If I could simply buy a short cable and plug it in up there it would be great....
i guess it's doable but would mean making a hole in the dash - which I wouldn't be very keen to do at all.....has anyone found another way?

I think the 430 looks great, and is clearly a big step forward being chargecooled. I'd love one - but realistically it'll probably never happen.
I'm struggling to see how Lotus will sell loads of these though - I hope they do, but if I had £110k to spend on this type of car I'd be casting my net pretty wide, so the Lotus would have to be very special indeed.
Completely agree with the comments about even considering upgrading to a 430 (or not) after doing just 1000 miles and having lost £3k a month in depreciation on a 380 - that sounds like complete madness to me - it's £20 a mile based on losing £20k.....
I'm clearly in a different league, but I consider myself lucky to have been able to buy and justify my V6 Roadster, I made a substantial profit on my Elise Sport 160 after 3 years of ownership, which was just good timing and buying the right car at the right time more than anything else. This allowed me to look at V6's, something I never thought I'd be able to do. At well under £40k I consider my V6 to be an absolute bargain when you compare it to the price of the 380, 430 etc. Is it worth £70k more to upgrade to a 430 (with options)? Not in a million years in my book.
If I ever wanted to reach that level of performance and capability on track (and had a coupe) I'd be looking at the Komotec 460, and suspension/brake upgrades, and driver training. You could do this to a £47k Sport 350 and save a fortune, whilst still having something very special and almost untouchable on track.
Maybe this highlights the kind of buyer that Lotus need for the 430 though - i.e. people who can afford to upgrade to one, having probably lost a packet on their existing car, and not worry about it in the slightest. I'm definitely not in that camp, it's always about net cost of ownership for me...
Don't get me wrong here - for those who can afford a 430, go buy it and enjoy it, it's a stunnng leap forward, and we only live once...

Drove in the dark last night cross country and the HID's are pretty good as low beam. Unsure what type GFW used but they are at least twice as good as originals and a notably whiter light . Admittedly they don't match modern Mercedes/BMW etc but are a notable improvement over the original candles. The high beam is a poor yellow light in comparison. What bulb type are they as want to upgrade them now.

Which ones did you go for Martin?

I know this might sound ridiculous, but given that the warranty "fix" doesn't seem to change anything, what about cutting a tennis ball in half (or perhaps thinner than that) and wedging it under the the seat? The seat will be harder to slide back and forth, though not impossible I suspect, and it might just be enough to stop the wobble......
No harm in trying...

Thread revival time...!
I recently bought a relay for the indicators, as per the advice on this thread, and it is now fitted - took less than 2 minutes thanks to the pictures and guidance on here. It cost £4 ....
Now, if only someone could find out whether it's possible to fit brighter illumination (LED bulbs maybe) to the early V6 heater/AC and heated seats buttons, particularly to show when they are switched ON, that would be marvellous......

BTW, i just fitted a Visium Hard-top for winter, and I’ll make a review in the correct topic !
Great pic - I'd love to see more photos of it with the Visium hardtop...

I LOVE this grey.....
Doesn't look too shabby on a plain old Roadster either....Carbon Grey is very under-rated, I think so many people go for the brighter colours. The 430 does have the edge, I admit

Have your asked Lotus to make you an offer? Or Geely a better bet, probably!
It looks a tad overexposed to me

Haven't had a chance to fit them yet, sadly...

That would be great Bibs, thank you kindly - let me know what info you may need or if there is anything I need to do?

Congrats, looks lovely - one day I'll be bold enough to go for the orange. Stunning.
I also bought a V6 from Silverstone recently - very happy with it thus far
Bibs - what's all this about a membership upgrade flyer......I didn't get one either!

Just swap the indicator relay for one that clicks, very cheap and very easy.
Martin S
Can you give us some pointers, i.e. Which relay to buy and where from - and how to fit it?

Just checked with garage who replaced my bulbs on my old 350 and they stated they fitted these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-HB3-Ring-XENON-ULTIMA-Car-Headlight-Bulbs-120-Brighter-HB3-Pair-/321638967867
big improvement over standard.
Excellent, I've also just found these, which get slightly better reviews than the Rings it seems:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Osram-Night-Breaker-9005NBP-Headlight/dp/B00AV5XMTU
Bit pricier though. Do in theory, either of these should be a straight swap?
-
Thanks, so has anyone one successfully sourced bulbs in H3BA fitment, that offer better performance than the standard bulbs (other than HID kits..) ?
-
I was under the impression that it isn't possible to buy improved bulbs in H3BA fitting (such as Osram Nightbreakers).
Can someone explain the "angled /straight" but above? Is that what the A stands for in H3BA?

Intriguing - did they tell you how to fit them? I presume they slide inside the runners, replacing existing parts?
