  1. The kittens are getting bigger, and more adventurous. They’ve tried one on a lead for walkies, which was moderately successful, but painfully slow. The other one couldn’t figure it out at all, so that’s work in progress.
  2. Nonsense. I’ve never had any issues with copper grease, and I’ve had that frame out four times over the last 6 years. Unless you’re driving the car in the sea, the chances of corrosion without grease far outweighs any possibility of galvanic action.
  3. When I were a lad the teachers ruled with a rod of iron, it was just like being in the ‘Kelsey Grammar’ sketch from ‘Little Britain’. Pretty sure we’d never have got away with 4 days off school , never mind 4 months.
  4. A crappy one. I complained in person to the practice manager about their online booking service, and was told it’s in perfect working order. So, on the spot I challenged here to log on with my details and get me an appointment. She failed miserably, and told me it was because my GP worked part-time. FFS they ALL only work part time, I know this because one of the HCA’s that works there told me so.
  5. I looked at the paint code info, and I read B20 as Azure Blue. I reckon your car is Norfolk Mustard B05, though. It was a common colour for Esprits, and possibly the only yellow apart from mica, but TBC. Of course you could ask 50 Shades of Yellow, @temple
  6. It’s so difficult to get an appointment at my GP surgery, that I'm pretty sure a lot of people just hope that whatever they have is nothing too serious, and live in hope whatever it is will clear up. The online booking service has been in operation for years, but I’ve never once been able to book anything though it, apart from a repeat prescription. Forget the telephone, because every time I call I’m No. 48 in the queue. I find the only way is to go to the surgery and wait to speak to a receptionist.
  7. Presumably this chart is made up of personal viewpoints rather than any empirical data. So to me, unless it’s Max Verstappen or some other decent driver carrying out the testing it makes me wonder how accurate it is. It’s possible most would be able to tell the difference between the top rated tyres and the bottom rated ditchfinders, but I’d question whether some owners would notice the difference without back-to-back testing. I’ve long thought there should be a standard test for tyres in the dry and wet, and I used to go by the treadwear figure as a broad interpretation. By that, if it says ‘
  8. Wait, what? Yorkshire tea can be drunk outside of Yorkshire? Well, you live and learn.
  9. Looks like it, and those 410's can't be that good if she's having to push the thing.
  10. Just lump it on to Dan’s bill. Pretty sure his mate Rick told me he’s minted.
  11. I suspect someone has already been there, and James Dyson might have a better person to ask. But as I said, cost and space in a car may well be prohibitive.
  12. It’s the one you sold me, so can I have a refund or worst case, a voucher?
  13. Only if they’re properly lined up....
  14. K&N? Green Filter? Pretty sure they function differently to a concertina paper filter. Air filtration technology exists, but there are limitations on cost and space. Thanks for the offer, Tom, but I've ordered the silicone hoses and joiner, they should do the job.
  15. Sorry, I can’t see the ‘after’ photos?
  16. Found the thread - I even commented on it. Shows you how the memory is fading, eh?
  17. I don’t remember seeing that fix, but I’ll see if I can find it. Hopefully the God of the TLF search function will be kind, but I’m not hopeful. Thankfully, the offending Esprat has long since been banished and with luck, died a horrible and painful death at least equal to the pain I’ve had to endure over the past 6 years of ownership.
  18. Removed the convoluted trunking from behind the engine trim panel, air inlet duct and the restrictive steel mesh in order to replace it with something less so. While I’m on the case, thought I might as well reroute the hose and bypass the silencer. I found the air inlet duct has been damaged, so I’m thinking of manufacturing another from GRP, as I’ve struggled to find any 85mm fittings that might do as a mould. However the trunking has taken such a set, presumably as it’s now 25 years old, that it’ll be an impossibility to get the required bend radii now. It’s solid! Does anyone know
  19. I didn’t know they made cars for one.
  20. Can’t help but think this should have been serialised on YouTube. It’ll make for riveting viewing.
  21. If anything happens, and you don’t make it, can I have the Evora?
