  1. Last utdate, arrived in Skagen, driven just over 3000km without a single issue. Managed to call into the British Car show just outside Viborg, sorry we didn’t Get a chance to meet in Copenhagen, maybe next year. I’m going to call this vacation the Lotus endurance trip 🙂
  2. Just as a matter of interest, drove 1300km and now in Southern Germany, 36 degrees and I regret stripping out the air conditioning 😥
  3. I’m running with pink, say’s it’s good for aluminium engines, is this correct ?
  4. Thanks for the replies, yes, all seems to run OK so we'll see how it goes. We'll be putting about 4000km on the clock. Looking forward to meeting up with the Danish members :-)
  5. Changed the belt last year, driven about 800km with no problems, but today started checking over everything before we set off for Germany next week. The belt when I plucked it whilst using a sound frequency app, measured 170hHz Hot, Measured it again cold and got 110Hz. Is this possible ? is it too tight ? can I trust an app on my phone ? I can twist the belt 45 degrees, but it does feel tight, on a regular car if you can twist the belt 90 degrees then it's good.

  8. Ferry from Bergen to Hirtshals, Then driving Hamburg, Hanover, Frankfurt and down to Besel. Plan tå set off around 1st August.
  9. Hi all, planing a trip through Danmark and down through Germany. Would be good to Get the car tuned and Get the adjustabe cam wheels timing checked, she’s still running a bit rough. Can enyone recomend a good workshop or someone who can do the job ? Stephen 1988 carb turbo
  10. Thanks for the reply, I’ve installed braided , the problem wasjust a sticking caliper piston, got a mate to help me today to pump it in and out a few times and now it’s as good as new, I just need to use it a bit more.
  11. Right hand side (lhd car) brakes not releasing, swapped caliper, checked piston, bled system? Why ?
  12. Mine is 125mm long, maybe this is the cause of all the trouble ?
  13. Tried to move slave cylinder but not able to unless bleed nipple undone, wasn't expecting it to move to be honest. Installed new exhaust and started her up and gear-shifts and clutch seem fine, so leaving it set with no threads showing on the slave adjuster. I did have one thought though, the clutch had been changed before I bought the car and I've had the engine out and gearbox off so all looks good to me, new thrust bearing and slave etc, but looking at the slave cylinder rod it looks new and shiny, this did not come with the new slave cylinder,it was on the car when I bought it, maybe it's not correct for the car, does anybody now how long it should be ?
