  1. I found the power (+12V) wire to the fuel pump. It is a white with purple strips (W/P) located beside the fuel pump relay in the trunk. Apply direct +12V to it , the fuel pump comes to live. Engine started but can only maintain 2500RPM. Lower than this RPM, there seems to be too much fuel supplied by the pump - unburnt gas comming out of the exhaust as the engine slowly stalls. Try to get to a higher RPM by pressing the gas padel, the engine stalls immediately - seems not enough fuel. Anyone, especially Art, can tell me what is not working here for this situation to occur. Thank
  2. Hi Bibs, On my ca,r 88 Turbo, the filler cap is cable operated. These valves has power wires as well as vaccum tubes going into them. Don't know what they are. Anyone knows?
  3. Anyone know if there is something installed in the buttress tunnel (right side). I see 4 screws on the tailgate frame (right side) when the tailgate is open. These screws hold a bracket (with some electro-mag valves ) in the buttress tunnel behind the right fuel door. This setup looks like someone intentionally hide some gizmo there. Strange, check your car and see what I mean, look above the battery and toward the right side fuel door ---anything there?
  4. Thanks for your info, Artie. I think the immobilizer is downstream of the fuel pump relay. I need to know the two wire (color code) of power (+12V) & ground not the relay power wire since I think the cut off is installed on the main powerline for the fuel pump. I have an 84 Turbo, the power is white/purple and the ground is black. But don't know about the 88 Turbo Bosch. Anyone know if there is something installed in the buttress tunnel (right side). I see 4 screws on the tailgate frame (right side) when the tailgate is open. These screws hold a bracket (with some electro-mag valve
  5. 1988 Esprit Tubro. PO has an old Clifford alarm installed in the car years back but lost the fob. I have to change battery recently and the Clifford locked up. I have removed all the Clifford parts I can see under the dash, but the fuel pump wouldn't power. ( I know the pump works as I can supply +12V to the fuel pump fuse and the pump engerized and sound healthy ). I think there is a wireless immobilizer somewhere that are getting no signal to fire up the fuel pump. Anyone know where they install the fuel pump immobilizer on the Esprit? Failing in finding this unit, the only other alter
