  2. Did you get the boot opened? Mine stuck once, must has become misalligned. Have someone pull the handle and wiggle the boot around, hopefully it will pop open. Good luck and enjoy the new beast!

  5. Thanks, as suggested they just pulled off. As a note to anyone else, be careful that the metal clip connected to the cover doesn't come off and fall in to your engine bay! Need to decide whether I: 1. Buy the carbon covers 2. Try the dipping myself 3. Pay someone else to do the dipping Will let you know how I get on. Cheers, Simon

    Looking for 340R

    It is very difficult to put a value on them - it is not what you/I think it is worth, but what the seller thinks. As there are fewer and fewer for sale, the prices will be on the up - they are so special I am really surprised they have not been on the up before now. A years warranty on a 340 could be worth quite a lot if you bought it from a dealer, if say there was a problem with the cambelt. It has the roll bar painted (this is a clam off job - a lot suffered corrosion as they were not lacquered properly), has the 190 kit and carbon guards (worth say 1k) and the track pack (mine has this, I have never used it) - it looks like it has A038's on it, so you may need a new set of tyres (probably) so say £600. All-in-all, I would want to get it at £27k, to compare to Silverlink one at £30k, but if he has it up at £32k, I doubt he would take below £30k. It also looks like it is missing the rear window :-) Check it has the race battery, not the full size battery.

    I wouldn't be concerned about the rain too much, they take a lot to clean, but not a lot to go rusty. But at £32k, I'd personally be wanting some service history. Mine over the last few years has only done a few hundred miles a year, yet I get it serviced (though granted sometimes they may have been a slightly longer gap than 12 months due to it being SORN). I would be factoring in a cambelt change (whether or not they said they had done it) - cost approx. £1k with service.

    I doubt I would sell it tbh. I will find link later and cross post it - it was basically for sale near me MANY years ago and had obviously been in some sort of accident - I posted a few photos - Target bought it and have been unable to shift it ever since. I have had my car 12 years - it has 19k on it, so high miles ;-) - it is nothing really - only gets dry weather use though, so is in really great condition. They are amazing to drive! Where in the uk are you?
