  1. Congratulations on the retirement! Car looks great in the ad, good luck with the sale. What colour/spec GR did you go for?
  2. The GR is a great car (running mine in at the moment), but it will never have that Lotus feeling or sense of occasion, but as you say, likely to get more use. Life is too short not to try the GR if you fancy it, I doubt you will lose much money on it. You can get back in to an Exige again if it doesn’t work out ... you will want another one in time, that’s for sure 😁
  3. Thanks for organising ... great turnout and perfect weather, hopefully the same next time!
  4. If anyone has any standard forged wheels for sale, please drop me a line. Thanks!
  5. Congrats Andrew - glad it didn't go to a dealer. You outbid me 😞
  6. I may be able to pop in first thing, but unlikely to be able to stick around for breakfast. Good excuse to get the car out though 👍

  8. I’ll take one please - if I take one without holes, is there a way to attach to a TVS1900? Thanks
  9. Did you get the boot opened? Mine stuck once, must has become misalligned. Have someone pull the handle and wiggle the boot around, hopefully it will pop open. Good luck and enjoy the new beast!
  10. Saw you this morning in Centennial. Looked and sounded great - I gave you a thumbs up but I was on my push bike and you were focused on looking cool! Your car was the only one I saw in 3 weeks in Sydney and 3 weeks in Colorado!
  11. Good to meet you today Stu - thanks for your time and I'm looking forward to getting mine done soon :-) Simon
  12. Thanks, as suggested they just pulled off. As a note to anyone else, be careful that the metal clip connected to the cover doesn't come off and fall in to your engine bay! Need to decide whether I: 1. Buy the carbon covers 2. Try the dipping myself 3. Pay someone else to do the dipping Will let you know how I get on. Cheers, Simon
  13. How easy is it to remove the two panels? Can anyone advise how to remove them. Thanks Simon

  15. Thanks for the feedback. [Ignorant mode on] What benefit does the moving washer give? Is it necessary to use them or can you use the S2 wheel bolts? I have a bunch of these in black! Simon
  16. Does anyone know if you can purchase black wheel bolts and where from? Failing that, I will have to look at spraying mine. Thanks Simon
  17. It is very difficult to put a value on them - it is not what you/I think it is worth, but what the seller thinks. As there are fewer and fewer for sale, the prices will be on the up - they are so special I am really surprised they have not been on the up before now. A years warranty on a 340 could be worth quite a lot if you bought it from a dealer, if say there was a problem with the cambelt. It has the roll bar painted (this is a clam off job - a lot suffered corrosion as they were not lacquered properly), has the 190 kit and carbon guards (worth say 1k) and the track pack (mine has this, I have never used it) - it looks like it has A038's on it, so you may need a new set of tyres (probably) so say £600. All-in-all, I would want to get it at £27k, to compare to Silverlink one at £30k, but if he has it up at £32k, I doubt he would take below £30k. It also looks like it is missing the rear window :-) Check it has the race battery, not the full size battery.
  18. Sorry, what I meant was there is not a lot on the car to go rusty.
  19. I wouldn't be concerned about the rain too much, they take a lot to clean, but not a lot to go rusty. But at £32k, I'd personally be wanting some service history. Mine over the last few years has only done a few hundred miles a year, yet I get it serviced (though granted sometimes they may have been a slightly longer gap than 12 months due to it being SORN). I would be factoring in a cambelt change (whether or not they said they had done it) - cost approx. £1k with service.
  20. It is now listed on Pistonheads ... Good luck, it looks lovely.
  21. I doubt I would sell it tbh. I will find link later and cross post it - it was basically for sale near me MANY years ago and had obviously been in some sort of accident - I posted a few photos - Target bought it and have been unable to shift it ever since. I have had my car 12 years - it has 19k on it, so high miles ;-) - it is nothing really - only gets dry weather use though, so is in really great condition. They are amazing to drive! Where in the uk are you?
  22. Check out the threads on SELOC regarding the NL one - I'd keep away from that one if I were you. I also would not get too hung up on the ti exhaust - I have one hung up in my loft, I run the twin exit Janspeed. 2bular also do one, but I never really liked the look of the round exhaust, though they may do other shapes. The general consensus is to buy a car with miles, as they have been used more regularly and have more serviced items. It is worth joining the 340 Facebook and Yahoo groups and posting a 'wanted' ad - good luck in your search!
  23. Really liked the sound of the 400 and was nice inside. It certainly sounds good as you blip the throttle - in an Exige it will be something else :-) I think the 360 sat by the all Carbon GTE Evora took the shine of it! (Lee, that wasn't you that followed me up the A10 by any chance was it?)
  24. Are you guys going to put them on a Rolling Road before and after - would be really interesting to see the difference.
