    It's good to hear that Lotus are covering the car with a "duvet", means we have some state of the art invention/design which we are hiding from the competition! :unsure:

    Surely that's not a sensible question....??

    Why would anyone take an F1 car anywhere and not have a spare nose cone/wing? That'd be stupid!

    Ofcourse they have lots of spares!! Looking at the pic I can see the nose cone is on, just that the front wing has come off which was probably due to the impact.

    The car is transported back to the garage where it needs to be stripped, gravel removed, checked for other damage and then rebuilt, half a day atleast!

  4. if the British GP is so important to all the teams and the economy why dont we build a new track like the one at abu dahabi, the days of using an old airfeilds have passed on, before you all say cost, we can find the money to build a usless football pitch in north london which is only used once a year and we can find the money for the olympic/Adidas games in 2012 so why not a new modern race track

    This is exactly what Mr Gillett tried to do at Donnington but with the current financial climate he failed to raise the
