  1. It looks great with the check binding and shark fin inlays. Yep, Any kind of green is not a standard color for Ricky's. But that is a beautiful bass from all aspects.
  2. Yes, there's the Halo series from Alpine which are horribly expensive. Basically, start at a grand and go to $1.6 grand (US). However, there are Alpines with Bluetooth and CD for $300. Strictly for the oldies (like me) who have a huge CD collections and are too lazy or don't have the time to convert to MP3s. The $300 Alpine doesn't have the backup camera.
  3. I have an 2003 V8 Esprit and I'm curious if anyone has installed a backup camera/sensors on their cars? Additionally, my dashboard has a single DIN radio slot with the factory equipped Alpine single CD head unit. I would like to update to a Bluetooth capable Alpine at the minimum when the semi-conductor shortage is finally sorted. If anyone has a single DIN with a slide out touch screen monitor and Android capabilities that's what I'm ultimately looking to install. However, the models I've seen appear to be 2 DIN in size. I guess it maybe asking a lot have the backup camera display on the touch screen. Any suggestions welcomed.

  5. Hello Everyone,

After what seems like forever (18 months), I'm no longer without an Esprit.

In fact I upgraded from a 91 SE Turbo Norfolk Yellow to a 2003 Esprit Turbo V8 in my favorite color Chrome Orange.  Here's some shots of my Premium Orange Juice mobile:

    https://www.lotusbill.com/2003-Lotus-Esprit-Turbo/2003-Lotus-Esprit-Turbo-Chrome-Orange/

I found out that there are 3 Final Edition Chrome Orange V8 Esprits from Andy Graham.  Hoping Andy might tell me how many 2002 Anniversary Chrome Oranges there are in that run. Plus if there are any non Finals and non 02 Anniversary models as well - I have one at least.  I'm aware through this forum that #63 is a chrome orange 02 Anniversary.  So with my car there's 5 at the moment.  This is for the last body style 2002 to 2004 run.

    Any help would be great.

As for my car, the mods are as follows:

    Carbon Fiber front splitter

Custom Silverline exhaust - beautiful tone and not over the top

Momo steering wheel with black aluminum CNC boss.

I would add a Bluetooth Alpine radio, but the semiconductor shortage has squashed that idea.

    Well, that's it for now...

  6. Flew on the 747 from Oahu to Nadi (Fiji). Got to go talk with the pilots in the cockpit. That was 21 years ago next week. I know this because it's my anniversary and because you can't go talk to pilots anymore for obvious reasons. The thing I regret the most is not flying on Concorde. I had a chance when I was 21, but didn't have the $900 they were asking to fly half way to Hawaii and back to San Diego, CA. Hopefully, Boom will bring the return of supersonic flight. https://boomsupersonic.com/overture
  7. WTF is wrong with people!
  8. Zero debt is great feeling, but I am surprised with the amount of bills even without home, credit cards and car payments. We had debt for over 30 years and I'm incredibly lucky to have accomplished this task. It was mostly luck, but we did work at it for several years. The first 3 months of the year are property tax and home owners insurance (roughly 2 house payments). Then the car insurance (3 cars yearly - another house payment). But the part that's far more concerning is Healthcare (in the USA). That will become our mortgage payment soon. I'm not complaining or saying my situation is better than others - just stating even with zero debt, it takes skillful mastering of finances to get by. I feel terrible for all the people impacted by the virus and hope they can get through it without massive debt or losses.
  9. Hi Mark, What breed are looking for and what age? Sorry you had trouble with the rescue/shelter facility. I"m a breeder and here's a link to my 7 weeks old litter of Miniature American Shepherds. 2 of my dogs are in Norfolk-most are USA and some in Canada. These are all spoken for, but thought you might find them interesting. Only breed when we can better our breed - not for money. Real Breeders don't make money. They make better, happier dogs and guarantee them for their lifetime. https://www.lotusbill.com/2020-Dani-BIS-Litter-7-weeks/Dani-BIS-Litter-7-weeks-Winter/ Additonally, here's some shots I took at LOG 38: Here's a nuclear yellow Exige from LOG 38 in Toledo, Ohio. https://www.lotusbill.com/Lotus/Lotus2/i-8chb5QG/A Aubergine Purple Elise: https://www.lotusbill.com/Lotus/Lotus2/i-vQ5S5vx/A Enjoy! 10. My friend has a 2018 Solar Yellow Evora 400 with Black package with Yellow Calibers. He lets me drive it sometimes. It's soooooo nice. He wants me to buy it so he can get the 2020 Evora GT. Still that's 75k plus at least as it's really great condition. I really like the 2020 Evora GT in that super bright Blue - black package and yellow calipers. I buy a lotto ticket every week just for that one.
  11. Hi Mark, As an IT professional who was replaced with a contracted team of IT millennial consultants, I feel your pain. Luckily, the wife has stock and we maxed 401ks for a few decades. Also have zero debt. Still medical expenses are ridiculous - even with the wife's PPO family plan. I felt so guilty not working and not doing my bit when I was obsoleted. I still feel weird not working, but I switched to being a professional photographer. Photography doesn't pay like IT did, but at least I make people happy. I did a contract job for a friend which involved updating their server and replacing/migrating their legacy Win 7 PCs with new Win 10 boxes. After 18 months not working, I found I didn't like IT anymore since no one appreciates what you do and you're always a financial burden to the companies bottom line even though you can't work without technology. I would like to work again to get a 2020 Evora as my Esprit is down again with another engine out job (3rd time) pending. Unfortunately, it doesn't make much financial sense to purchase a 100k plus vehicle when only one family member is working. I do wish you luck with your next job adventure. My adventure turned out much differently than I was expecting.
  12. Sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. I'm fortunate that my Dad really has no money and even if he did I wouldn't take it. Learned my lesson with my Mother-In-Law. She left money to her kids (her husband was killed by a drunk driver) and that caused rifts between the wife's family members. Personally, I would rather give the money back (it wasn't a lot) and have my Mother-In-Law back- minus the pancreatic cancer that took her away. She was a terrific woman. The wife and I would take her with us on all vacations. With that said, I still think your Dad's new wife should have taken notice of your family and done something.
  13. 2 1/2 weeks ago, I heard a squeaky noise at startup from the engine bay. Turns out my Aux Pulley is wobbling. Engine out service and that does it for the driving season this year. Just had my drive way redone. At least it happened in my garage and not hundreds of miles from home.
  14. Poor Jon Snow...he's always got to tell truth. The only visible happiness we saw in the last season was him seeing Ghost. Ghost looked as banged up as Snow did. Agree with Kimbers, Hydrogen Fuel Cell power is the wave. Batteries (large heavy ones) will end up in landfills. Engineers are probably working on "proper" battery disposal, but Hydrogen's exhaust is water. Hydrogen is also the most abundant element in the universe, so availability isn't a concern. Unfortunately, we are most likely the last generation to enjoy fossil fueled cars. It's hard to imagine what Ferrari, Lambo and Porsche will do when everything goes electric/hydrogen or some other option. What will the value of a Chiron, La Ferrari, P1, Aventador, Ford GT (all versions), Boss 429, Type 130* etc. be when they can no longer be driven? Granted most of these cars are treated like museum pieces that will never see actual daylight regardless. *Type 130 - Please be the new Esprit "the Electric Hybrid Ferrari Killer". I mentioned the Boss 9 and forgot the Shelby GT500. Sorry, not a fan of the other American muscle cars.
  15. Hello everyone, Anyone know of someone in the Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio area that will do an A/C recharge using R 12? Cannot and Will not convert to R 134. 1991 Esprit Turbo SE's feature barely adequate cooling using R 12. The car is basically a Greenhouse on wheels and black interior only makes it worse. Unfortunately, I do not live in a colder climate during summer season. I prefer the frozen knuckle syndrome I had the previous summers.
  16. Here's my car insults after nearly 5 years of ownership: 1. It looks like a Fiero? I was afraid to ask 1st generation (the absolute worst) or the 2nd generation? At least the 2nd gen isn't as horrific as the first. 2. I got the "kit" car while parked at Walmart. I let the guy know that was an inappropriate remark. He knew that I was not happy. He tried to back peddle his comment, but he ended up digging a deeper pit of despair. Very uncomfortable for both of us in the end. The not so bad comment: 1. Reminds me of an MR2. I actually wanted an Supercharged MR2 when I was 18 (oh so many years ago). Overall, most people are very interested and like seeing the car on the road aside from that state trooper last year. Ticket falls off in 2 weeks.
  17. Beautiful dogs! Danny. Speaking of Danny, well Dani (named after Daenerys in Game of Thrones) is my pregnant bitch. Here's her x-ray with 2 pups on board. The unhappy part is that there's only two. A lot of work went into this breeding. Some of our future owners will need to wait until another litter to get their pup unfortunately. Touchdown is next weekend time frame - we think. If anyone can spot more in there, let me know. That would make some other future owner very happy. Please ignore the HIPPA data - really only matters for humans anyways.
  18. Well said Danny! "A life without dogs...well, no life." I don't know how I could manage without mine. Best thought I will have running around in my brain today. Thank you.
  19. Go get them Wabbits... I have my dog's ashes in urns. Probably have them scattered with our remains when the wife and I depart the planet. Just get one of the nephews/nieces to do the scattering piece. This way we all go together assuming the wife and I exit at roughly the same time. Yeah, recently met with the financial planner and need to update the will to cover this little future gathering.
  20. I thought I saw more Malamute with Shadow. Utonagans also originated in the UK as a breed from what I searched. Boy big indeed! As a breeder of Miniature American Shepherds, it's always good to know other breeds. Your breed was completely new to me. Sorry the beach trip will be a hard one.
  21. David, Here's Seven and I together in the car. She did 0 to 60 almost as fast as the car. I miss her terribly.
  22. Sorry to hear your story. You did the right thing - you stopped your beloved family member's suffering. It is by far the hardest thing to do. I'm a dog breeder in the USA, but 2 of my dogs are Norfolk UK. 2 years ago, I had to put down 4 dogs in one year due to old age. Yes, I'm crying with you as I type this in their memory. Very few things make guys cry, but this is one of them. A dog loves you just the way you are and unconditional love is hard to come by these days. That's why your noble companion deserves respect and honor. To Shadow... say hello to Shagg, Skye, Seven and Solo on your journey. Farewell...
  23. Is it the BMW X3/X5/X6? or the Miata/BMW 328 (or whatever it is) in the left lane? I tried my LightRoom software and can't read it. My local police department doesn't have the software necessary to reconstruct missing pixel information
  24. Neal, Sorry to hear that your Elise's starter (or whatever it may end up to be) isn't working properly. That's an excellent run time of 22 years though! I'm sure you'll let everyone know the solution when it's found. Perfect! Yep, the Big Fish got away from Mueller this time. The Southern District courts still have their poles in the dark abyss.
  25. Just waiting for the thaw in the Midwest - it's been a longer winter than expected. My car needs a minor tune up and it's speedometer needs to rebuilt. Using my GPS as a speedometer temporary. But what makes me unhappy is the Mueller report. I had hoped for an indictment, but now we appeared to be (as you gentlemen say) buggered.
