  1. Sainsbury’s started changing the labelling on pumps back in July I noticed in west london essex and Norfolk. Apparently Esso claim there is no Ethanol in their super UL in most of the UK, and they also take nectar cards now for Sainsbury’s / nectar card users 🙂 indeed! I have read on the internet, meaning who knows what’s true, it effects the baffles in the tank, fuel lines ( metal and rubber ) also injectors. For instance Porsche tell me my 944 isn’t compatible neither if the parts they now sell / re manufacture are compatible, I very much doubt it , but as I have recently replaced some of the fuel supply system in my 944 be useful to know.
  2. This popped up on PH recently, assuming its still for sale Looks lovely and well cared for on the face of it, no mention of clutch which might worry some and personally not sure about the gear knob but otherwise a lovely spec at good money with a well thought out write up.
  3. Yes, it was a BBC production shown back in April and still available on iPlayer. It was not bad and the first time I have seen Christine Ferrare talk about her time married to DeLorean. Also his son Zachary has been giving a few interviews recently including the film ‘Framing John Delorean’ with Alec Baldwin which I think was on Netflix and worth a watch, this past weekend he was also speaking at a DeLorean Convention in Chicago. A few ex Lotus employees were on screen too including Colin Spooner and @Mike Kimberley had a very brief appearance from some factory footage, most of which came from the Pennebaker & Hegedus documentary where they followed John Delorean around filming him and the factory in Belfast
  4. Damn....Well now that’s my guilty secret out in the open, thanks @Sparky don’t worry I’ll keep yours a secret like I promised 😛 Although I don’t think it looks much like a Porsche otherwise I wouldn’t have brought it, honest Still I guess that’s one less on your Christmas card list @Kimbers 😉
  5. Tillykke med fødselsdagen no marks out of 10 for my quick google translate look forward to catching up again hopefully soon !
  6. Thanks @Mark Blanchardalways had a soft spot for the 944 and thought I had missed the boat but Picked this one up about a year ago , it’s 1990 S2 3.0 16V NA and in good condition.
  7. Thanks guys, spent the morning at my favourite Lotus dealer OK I was picking up parts for the 944 whilst at B&C 😉 and just for you @Sparky some Emira content as I spent time on the configurator
  8. I had both an early Evora S and also a 400 and both had the same setup as far as the head unit wiring was concerned so you should not have a problem. From memory there is a big white connector on the main loom, I just re wired the short head unit loom. You will have to remove the radio facia , be aware there are connectors to disconnect on the back, but it’s just clipped in. as far as what a PO has done then as Bravo mentioned it depends on how they wired in the head unit but ISO connectors do not appear in the Evora as standard.
  9. Assuming we are talking Evora here, I pretty sure there is a speed sensor wire already in the head unit loom. I did a pin out somewhere .... Pin 17 green/grey
  10. Ah damn, away on holiday that day....well hopefully. Next time @Dave Freeman
  11. My 2nd Evora ‘in the wild’ spot this week, maybe I should put this post in the made me happy thread 🙂 Blue Evora AU60, black wheels and looked like oyster interior in St Albans near the Three Hammers pub this evening , Sunday 30th. Looked stunning 🙂
  12. Spotted in Rayners Lane heading towards North Harrow this evening, reg started R15. Always nice to see an unexpected Lotus in the wild
  13. “It’s true @Sparky spanner is only this big”
  14. Wow, big congrats to you both have you got to this point in the double celebrations yet? 😉 is it me or is @Sparky looking very svelte 😂
  15. Very enjoyable meet and great to catch up and chew the fat with everyone again! Nice weather too and some great cars, pick of the bunch for me had to be a lovely black S4s thanks for organising @ChrisJ
  16. Well Edd has another series on YT, hopefully this one will continue this time Found it entertaining, Episode 2 just been posted up too
  17. From memory, and I could be wrong, but I think there a box that the alpine camera cabling connects into that outputs a phono / composite feed that then goes to the head unit ( my old S certainly did anyway) . I think that box is located around where the sub speaker is located behind the drivers seat. So if that is the case with yours then you can just extend the phono lead. Just a thought
  18. I have been a member since the LEF days and been a valuable resource not to mention all the events @Bibs has spent time and energy putting together so I feel stumping up for forum membership is the least I can do 🙂 keep up the good work, thanks for all the hours spent @Bibs
  19. It would have plugged into the head unit for the factory fitted alpine sat nav at some point I would guess. It would have sat on a magnetic pad under the dash just below the instrument binnacle cover
  20. Been waiting since 5:45 in anticipation of an update and now taken to the gin, flipping fibber that @Sparky fella .....
