  1. You will notice how nimble the Elise feels compared to the Exige, I had a 2013 Exige S before the Evora 400 and current Elise Cup , IMHO and is a massive difference but you will miss the grunt of the V6, ask @Stubox The only answer I can think is to have both in the garage
  2. @greenevora was that the car for sale at Westover? Congrats, a stunning car. I was tempted for sure
  3. Great meet with a good hearty breakfast, very well attended too thanks for organising @ChrisJ great to catch up with everyone
  4. After being disappointed the Elise 250 Cup cars don’t come with the model designation embroidered into the seat backs like other models, although have seen a few with it, I decided to have my seats embroidered and very pleased how they turned out. Allon White did a great job being the only official Lotus after sales trim shop they could get the correct Alcantara from Lotus and also the correct logo. A small thing but made me smile today
  5. Jamie @ B&C confirmed its mid nineties. From collection day 🙂
  6. Well just checked my V5! Certainly doesn’t sound that loud and like I said Goodwood tested my car 🤷‍♂️
  7. Doesn’t sound right to me, unless Lotus have changed the exhaust since March.
  8. From memory static @ Goodwood in my Cup 250 was around 95dB I think, I was on a 105 day at the time but remember the guy saying I would be good to go on a 98 day too.
  9. Allon White are just doing a some work for me on my seats and they could not match the Alcantara used by the factory but as they are the only Lotus authorised after sales trim shop they could order it in from Lotus.

    Elise x 2 A3

Spotted a dark blue S1 Elise london bound around lunchtime near Guildford today plus an orange S3 came shooting past
  11. Check the MOT here https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ I think that updates almost real time 🤔 Unlike the tax and MOT page which seems to get updated over night
  12. All I can say to you @Sparky is you were quick enough to complain about @Dan E photography skills but please........ Nice car though, shame @Trevsked didn't buy one in the end but guess he decided he wasn't cool enough

  14. Thanks Matt, I ended up paying just under £550 with up to 6 UK track days, UK and Euro breakdown cover on 5k miles PA as never had any no claims on my Lotus policies.
  15. Well as a follow up for anyone interested, if anyone but guess not, I phoned around and was quoted anywhere from £770 up to £1,677! A big up to Matthew @ Henderson Taylor (0161 437 7442) who sent me quote within minutes of sending the online quote request form! They include 5 UK and EU track days, agreed value £500xs and came out at £772 so all in all not bad so would recommended them. Tried Chris Knott but was more, they did offer to try with a specialist underwriter but they cant offer track days so decided no point CCI have vanished, the web link didn't work for me , and think they have been absorbed into Footman James. Their quote was £1,667 with 6k miles and 3 (i think) track days. They did offer to try their classic specialist insurance but I would have to join club lotus and my car was too new unsurprisingly. So anyway went back to Classic Line feeling I had the best deal but upon questioning them and the increase they run it thought their quoting system again and it came back with just under £550!!!
  16. I know this is a well trodden path but my renewal has come in for my Cup 250 and is nearly £670 so wondered what sort of money other 250 cup owners pay? I am with Clasicline and to be fair they have always been good to deal with and In my limited claims experience had no issues but wondering who else I should consider? Not AIB as noclonger offer track days so assume CCI, Henderson Taylor and Chris Knott? Anyone else worth getting a quote from as a comparison before going back to classicline?
  17. Thanks Barrie, Indeed that old chestnut but I was assuming it would go down even slightly as a smaller car / less power but I guess not. As always no time and renewal fast approaching lol
  18. I know this is a well trodden path but my renewal has come in for my Cup 250 and is nearly £670 which is more than my Evora 400 last year and over £100 more than I used to pay for my old V6 Exige so was wondering what people pay and if the Elise costs more to insure in general than the Evora/Exige? kind of assumed / hoped with a smaller, cheaper and less powerful car the insurance might go down a little, but maybe the Elise is a higher risk I am with Clasicline and to be fair they have always been good to deal with and In my limited claims experience had no issues but wondering who else I should consider? Never been impressed with my contact over the years (not just on price but in general) with AIB, plus they no longer offer track days so assume CCI, Henderson Taylor and Chris Knott? Anyone else worth getting a quote from as a comparison before going back to classicline?
  19. Bit late now I assume but saw an advert for this recently https://www.cuvva.com/
  20. The red interior is a very nice place to be, missing my old 400 interior to be honest The top of the door cards, carpets and dash are black to give a nice contrast IMHO

    Gin

Went to a local ‘once a month’ food market at the weekend and along with some tasty ‘Wobbly’ cheese, http://www.wobblybottomfarm.co.uk/WobblyBottom/HOME.html, brought some of this navy strength, certainly approved the taster ! Complete with instructions
