  1. I've been involved in setting up an online xbox one gaming community, Outcast Gaming:

Outcast Gaming is an online community for adult gamers of ages 18 years and up who play on Xbox One!

Are you interested in socializing with players your age but haven't been able to "weed out" all the adolescent players? Have you been unable to join traditional, time-consuming gaming communities because, being a responsible adult, you have had to juggle your free time with going to college, taking care of children, or being employed in a full time job? In short, are you interested in an online experience where you can just jump straight in and enjoy gaming with friends If so, then Outcast Gaming is the right place for you!

Come and have a look if you want to join in

  2. I generally find white (clear) runs have more of a harsher taste and generally aren't sippers but more of cocktail ingredients. Found some nice flavoured ones though, Koko Kanu is particularly nice although in essence is a posh Malibu!

  3. So you had a habit..... which you kicked..... 7 years ago

And now you've adopted a new habit, which is supposed to get you off the old habit, which you already kicked.

    Have you tried freebasing?

This is the key bit here:

I quit smoking after 17 years, 7 years ago but about a year or so back got back into cigars, mainly on a Friday night with a beer and over the weekends. Since Laura & I are now running regularly this couldn't continue of course so now I've got an e-cigarette and I must admit it's really nice!

Public Health England recently said it's only 5% as bad as smoking cigarettes which means it's much better than unfiltered cigars and the Parma Violet flavour is lush!

No more stinky cigars, and mainly on a Friday night actually means all weekend, or if we're on holiday, or doing something special, or there's something to celebrate, or.....

  4. Thanks Mike, that's the plan (although I've had the week 'off').

Whilst I may not have been bitten by the running bug as such I've seen the benefits in my health and I'm aiming now to work up my pace then start to increase distance and make running part of our weekly routine.

  5. Yes! Thanks for remembering! Pictures to follow but we're all done and feeling very proud!

Thankfully the weather was on our side and it wasn't too hot, I think we would've ended up walking the whole thing if it were as hot and sunny as yesterday.

Managed to get round in 45 minutes which we were quite pleased with given the uphill walks we ended up doing, they were much steeper than expected!

Thanks to everyone that donated so generously so far, it's not too late if you still want to donate a couple of quid to this worthy cause.

    Jog on cancer!

  6. Yes, it's the big day this Sunday, I know I'm in the minority but I'm just praying for the weather to cool down.

As much as I'd like to make some kind of witty remark about him holding me back or something I just can't. 9 weeks ago I'd never have imagined we'd come this far, our first run consisted of 8 x 1 minute runs with 1 minute of walking in between and I thought I was going to die at the end of it! Now we're running 30-40 minutes, 3 times a week and increasing our speed/distance every time. Bibs has literally done every step with me and kept me motivated the whole way through.

I'm well aware that 5k isn't the longest distance ever run but it's been a huge challenge for us and I'm really proud of us both for getting this far and for the money raised so far.

  7. Thank-you very much David and the Thwaites family.

We have absolutely smashed our target and this is mainly down the generosity of TLF members, thanks to everyone that has donated so far and there's a month left for anyone who hasn't yet!

  8. Not lotus related but once got my driver foot well carpet caught under the clutch pedal on my rx7 and couldn't get a gear without graunching the 'box!

I used to have a similar problem with the clutch getting caught under the carpet so would just be revving the engine instead of pulling away

  9. On target at the moment thanks, we're on week 4 of the couch to 5k programme so should be finishing just in time for the Race For Life. Got myself some fancy new trainers last night that made it a bit easier too
