  1. That looks great! I could see the arguments for black sills and white sills, but it has come out looking tremendous.
  2. Braddock, Good luck with this - it will be a very worthy project! You live in the town of my birth (I grew up just north of there, in Merritt Island). I hope to see this orange beauty tooling around next time I'm in town!
  3. Jon, continued great work. I'm wondering what kind of reaction Vivian is getting in her forays out into the public. These babies are SO rare Stateside these days. I can't immagine too many people know what she is. Do people guess DeLorean? Stare and gawk? Or not take much notice?
  4. Jon, this is incredible work. I remember when this car was on Craigslist (since I am forever 'in the market' to buy an Esprit, but also forever a coward). I look forward to following the rebuild, and then, since I have a brother near DC and work brings me to the area every month or two, you MUST let us know when this beast will be seen in public - cars & coffee, car shows etc. I would drive up from Raleigh for no other reason that to see it in person. Keep it up!

  6. Seen a few times, including this morning on Blue Ridge driving towards Duraleigh. Anyone on here?
  7. I enjoy that too - my reasoning is that it feeds my fantasy of a barn/estate find and being able to afford it.
  8. Small numbers, and also, I would think, concentrated in 'supercar' areas like South Florida and Southern California.
  9. Looks fantastic, Gordon! How about a heads-up next time - I'd love to see it at an event like this!
  10. Haha Dan I hope that is true actually - I would love him to get it back on the road so I can see it from time to time. I have not seen a Guigiaro Esprit in person in over 20 years.
  11. This one is right in my back yard. I exchanged a couple of emails with the owner. He is considering keeping it, but wants to see what the interest level is. I would have jumped on it had it come along 6 months sooner, or perhaps 6 months from now, but ce la vie. I hope it finds a good home (or he keeps it).
  12. Thought this deserved its own looks great, but....95K?
  13. Stunning. Absolutely stunning. I haven't seen a G-car in person in 20 years or more. I think I might have a heart attack if I did.
  14. On my way to lunch today, with my dog in tow, I discovered there is a V8 Esprit in my town! Raleigh is a medium-sized city in the US, and while I've seen a lovely orange Elise once or twice, I never imagined there would be an Esprit here. My dog was much less impressed than I was: sorry for sideways pic
  15. I saw Kylie at the US Open in New York a few years ago. Looked absolutely marvelous.
  16. Beautiful car, but that's quite a price. I've been watching turbos struggle to sell for above 20k on craigslist in the last year. The asking price on this one has dropped from 23 to 21 and now 19k.
  17. Fantastic picture. Really shows how low and wide it is (something not easily achieved without a person/normal car in the shot for perspective). The other thing that makes it look like a space ship is you can't see the tires!
  18. Indeed. We were going to buy it if the auction was still active.
  19. I'm pretty sure a mechanically sound S1 in need of a respray sold in Miami on Ebay for $13,999 last week. It went up with that as the 'Buy It Now' price, and by the time I emailed the link to my brother, who lives in the area, it was gone.
  20. Either that, or someone put Ft Lauderdale on the wrong side of the Atlantic.
  21. I was tempted! I'm holding out for a G car.
  22. Visited my brother in Ft Lauderdale, and while out for a stroll, came across this lovely green 1990 SE for sale.
