Has anyone retro-fitted a reverse cam and double din head unit (not as rude as it sounds) to a 410? Is the wiring in place as part of the standard loom?

Batmans other car. Its got some sort of JLo ass extension thing going on. Very unique.

Some interesting styling touches going on here, not sure its to my taste but appreciate the adventurous spirit. http://www.qatarsale.com/mycar_e.aspx?carid=238119 Sorry if this is not permitted in this topic, but thought it was a picture to see rather than a 'for sale' advert to put in the sales section.

Evora market watch, for discussion and to help those searching!

Im back in the UK and eager to shower the Evora auto market - and boom, all seem to have fallen off the market. Only one that is close-ish seems to be a strange champagne colour with black wheels - its reg LJ16 AXX if anyone knows about it. The 400 badge at the back has lost its red, DVLA has it reg'd as Grey - should these little things flag concerns? -

B&C just listed a Evora 400 auto and referenced the colour as Mercedes Benz Crystal Laurite - Is this the same as signature silver or something unique? Searched online about the colour and seems it was a popular choice on the SLR, so carries some kudos. If anyone is near Surrey would like pics, plus the Racing green model they have in too. -
NedaSay, think your very right in the case of focus more on social media launches and the more perceived value in the USA auto show markets. Reading the no-show list for Frankfurt and some surprising non-attendees - but as few sales are made and other ways of getting the models know to consumers I guess the auto show is a fading concept as the sales made on the back of these events is minimal. The new TVR is being shown at the Goodwood Revival - a gathering focused on classics; so a strange exception is granted for a new TVR - but this will connect with a more focused target audience of prospective buyers. TVR used to have naked ladies in the Earls Court motor show on press day - doubt we will see a return to that; certainly not at goodwood - the old gents would have a cardiac event and drop their smoking pipes or string backed driving gloves.

Anyone know if Lotus be at the 2017 Frankfurt motor show from 14th September? perhaps a GT430 on a stage and some hints at a 400 Roadster image being teased?
-
Here she is. “powerful like a gorilla, yet soft and yielding like a Nerf ball.” Do enjoy the teaser images and excitements. Perhaps this one will have two cup holders and squeekless seats.

Sweet, the new Evora Evo 450 has broken cover. The flared arches and wide wheel give this a purposeful stance, another inch on the spacers would give a better flush to the wheel and wheel arch. Does it come in black with a batman logo decal pack?

Thanks for setting me right - of course its Lotus so the heavy metal option would be improved by a lighter option as further development continues in the production run of the car. Perhaps some thermal efficiency by using a composite construction that insulates better than a metal option. Always engineering advancements with Lotus.

The expansion tank on the left side of the 400 engine bay (from looking at the rear of the car) - some are plastic and some are metal; guessing the early cars used plastic and was later changed to a metal - or was it the other way around? Have seen some of both types on different 2016 model year cars so the change must have taken place about then. Its not going to influence much; its just caught my curiosity.

A BMW i8 is in budget on the used market - would be an interesting thing to have for a while, cool doors and that taste of the future feeling. Quite fancy one myself so I can pretend Im from the movie Tron and just escaped 'the grid'. Used prices might take an upturn when the roadster version comes out later. Make sure you find one with the 'servie pack' that ensures warranty is longer and nothing can go wrong. The batteries are warrantied for 8 years so should not be a concern even on the older cars. Another option could be a Merc SL, if you like gran touring and mototing over europe then cant think of a better long distance GT, might need to boost the budget for a AMG GT and the used market for GTS is a bit pricey for now. You could go totally leftfield and check out a Ginetta; you could buy your way into being a proper racing car driver - cool hobby to have.

Anyone on here selling privately in Kent? Im up in Dundee but know the need is to travel to pick up the right car when it comes to Lotus... http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/evora/lotus-evora-122-2-evora-400----------------2016/6991850 -
You could go full custard tart and get yellow seatbelt on the reels. And with these it will give added comfort and keep the dark interior bright ... The new seats do look very good, a bit more plush than the standard - will you get the yellow hints on the five point opening holes - might give a nice colour add.
-
The clear are used in the UK and other overseas markets - in the US they go with yellow/orange. Im not sure if its legal to swap them over. But would be easyto get hold of a UK part and pretty sure they would come out easy enough, so a careful removal and replace should be swift. Or you could remove them and leave the space blank or get crafty with a knife and add some extra ducting, but careful - you dont want the car to whislte in the wind at high speeds.
-
Can you help me out, the 400 auto at B&C reg AU16 BCF - is this the one you drove? Im a bit confused as on the B&C website it says red leather interior and after a lot of zoom on the pics I think the seats are red thought the exterior shot windows- but on piston heads it says black and has close up pics of a grey alacantra trim. Don't suppose you could clarify this for me please.

Private entries in the Hankook 24h series are running Evora and Elise - one is on track just now (13/1/17 to 14/1/17) Dubai 24 hour race. Pretty sure later in the series a further Evora is going to be run by another team. Watch live now at www.24hseries.com

Same over here - not sure if its fitted once the car arrives by the dealer or if they ship them from UK over with them fitted. Does look good especially with the red interior trim.

Nice Evora 400 on display at the Cars & Karak event in Doha, Qatar. A super rare sight on the roads here despite a nice showroom run by Universal Motors.

AK 427 running a Rover 3.5. Sold it to totalheadturners, he's pitching it at 27,500 and can say with all honesty, its not worth all that. Its at best a 20k car. Was fun to have but the days fettling with carbs and heavy steering, no driving aids and the lack of roof (not even a soft top) made me feel it was time to move on. -

I've been on the Evora market watch for a while, I had settled on a series 1, S with IPS and had a nice test drive but in a colour I really cold not learn to love at MMC. I have since sold my kit car cobra and amassed a fund pot and was waiting for the 400 market to sink to circa 55k in maybe mid 2017 ideally a nearly new auto ideally with tan leather and blue exterior but we all know its not possible to be choosy in the used market. Then this pops up in pistonheads (Reg AU14 BKV) and Im back to thinking the savings on a series one are really of merit, plus all the 'niggles' of early 400s seem to be cropping up (Im a forum stalker, sorry for my sin) and the consumer quality control (why do lots of expensive QC in house when the buyers will soon find and report the areas that need addressing) is resoving these but the later series 1 seems to be the more sorted option for reliability and robustness for now. http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/evora/lotus-evora-s-ips-sports-racer-2014/6544067 Sounds interesting and will leave me some extra funds spare compared to a used 400, but it has the aggressive bumper - still a bit wider in the sills but that can only help to give me more flexibility and exercise. Anyone have any prior on AU14 BKV? does she have a past master on here? As its Lotus Silverstone has the 400 front been put on as the original was sporting too many stone chips from being a track workhorse? Desperate for pics to be posted. -
Not too sure, not my car - was left in a car park.
