  1. Not keen on that Lexus interior either. In my eyes it looks like an updated version of the Nissan Bluebird....must be those vents lol.
  2. Going by the Lotus Evora S1 brochure, it implies that the rear seats are for kids more so than adults.
  3. Not yet Stu, in my head I've got it as a bit of a no-brainer already that I'll love the Evora having come from an Elise 111R. As much as I've loved my previous two Elise's (both daily drivers) the practicalities of the car and lack of creature comforts eventually wears thin, perhaps its an age related issue lol. One of the only things that actually concerns me is whether I can get it in the garage, according to lotus's official measurements of the car it should just about fit. Its difficult to tell from pictures but my garage looks no different to yours width wise and I see yours makes i
  4. Where does the source say its an adult in that diagram? Judging by that pic that bloke driving sure as hell wouldn't fit in the back would he lol?
  5. I've always been curious about how practical the Evoras back seats actually are for transporting young children. It annoys me how the Evora S1 is ridiculed for the lack of space in the rear and videos (like 5th gear etc) use adults in their tests for comedy value to highlight how impracticle they are, yet in reality as we all know they're really designed for kids and no-one else. Why is there no informative videos out there showing the reality of whether these seats can actually be used? I'll be getting myself into Evora ownership this year regardless of seating space as its just my

  7. I just found a great car on Auto Trader. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201612220777095?atmobcid=soc3 Hope the link works okay, another very nice spec Evora with the premium sports trim to go with it. Seems like a very good price too!
  8. Thanks for the video, being a prospective buyer for an Evora very soon its great to see and hear any kinds of real world experience from current owners. I love your SR model in particular because of those Venom Red seats, not something I've seen too often when scouring the 2nd hand market.
  9. I'm wondering if the S1 SR could become the model to have a bit like the S1 Exige?? I see the advert for the Evora S SR lookalike with the premium sport interior that was advertised for 38k has dissapeared now from Auto trader. Didn't think it would hang around long once the price got reduced. Just goes to show if you want what appears to be a well sorted Evora and its reasonably priced you had better be quick.
  10. Okay scrap all that, just seen its for sale now at £38k. Surely that's a great buy which will be snapped up straight away. If only this was 6 months down the line lol.
  11. Didn't realise the interior I'm familiar with seeing on Sports Racers could be added as an option so thanks for informing me. I guess it doesn't make a difference whether its a SR or not, and as you've rightly pointed out the seller isn't hiding anything and is simply stating what he's selling at a price. Im really only curious because although I'm at a point where I'm serious about looking at purchasing an Evora it is at the lower end. The Sports premium interior really lifts the Evora and I'm now contemplating saving up a few more pennies to get this option. I know this qu
  12. I guess the Manuel is the more sought after model but the IPS rarer perhaps. Still not convinced though, that is actually a sports racer model. Seems too early. The Journo's were driving 13 plate cars when reviewing the SR.
  13. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201611189879116?sort=price-asc&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&radius=1500&advertising-location=at_cars&make=LOTUS&postcode=sn126fz&model=EVORA&page=1 Whats peoples thoughts on this, looks absolutely lovely! Could anybody clarify though, is this actually a Sports Racer model?? it looks like it judging by the interior and exterior pics but its not actually listed as being one and I thought going by the reg perhaps too early to be one also, am I right to believe that the ea
  14. Enjoyed reading that piece by R&T, high praise indeed for the Evora! As much as I enjoy reading positive reviews of any Lotus, I really hope it helps to drive sales forward which doesn't always seem to happen.
  15. Just saw this picture on Instagram, I really like the way that wing intergrates with the rear of the 400.
  16. Just seen that FB post myself. Looking forward to reading/seeing more about it myself. I'm sure the reviews will be positive!
  17. Its a very amateurish review to be honest much like all his other reviews that he does on his own NA Evora. I thought I'd add it to the thread though seeing as reviews on the Evora 400 are pretty few and far between and at the very least its shot with a nice quality camera. There's also a great shot of the cup holder, which I know some of you current owners were getting a bit excited about not so long ago ;-)
  18. Looks like a scam, those exact pics were used only a few weeks ago from Cars of Wirral in Merseyside and they had the car advertised for £30,995.
  19. Of course, perhaps not the bargain I thought it was then!
  20. Can't imagine this will hang about long, looks nice in the silver with red interior imo! http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/evora/lotus-evora-400-2016-vat-qualifying/6229196
  21. I too would personally like to see a powerfold roof on an Evora but with Lotus about to re-enter profitability for the first time in ages surely they need to continue to consolidate further before spending bucketloads on development costs etc. Lotus and roofs don't generally seem to go too well and although fortunately my 111R doesn't have any leakage issues my previous S2 Elise and 2 x M100 Elan's were dreadful. That being said if the Evora had a roof that actually worked and collapsed as easy as the Elan's did, I'd have no problem with that whatsoever.
  22. Just out of curiosity, do you know if that door lighting is standard on all Evoras that have the premium pack from the Launch Editions or was it introduced at a later date??
  23. In a way I'm not surprised the one at Leeds went so quickly. I guess somebody brought it on the basis that they believed it was good enough on the advert alone. It did look to be remarkable value, I had this issue a few years back when Elise 111R's were being sold almost straight away.
