While not exactly scissor/Lambo doors, it seems that Lotus knows people want "billionaire doors", as evidenced on the Evija. Hopefully they consider that for their other future cars targeted at more 'average' people.

Yes, my bad. I was looking at the diagram from the wrong perspective. 17 is the one from the bank closest to the bulkhead.

The steering wheel piece is actually a replacement, not an overlay. You disassemble the wheel to remove the buttons (or blanks) and attach them to the carbon fiber piece. As for the other interior pieces, there's a very small amount of visible aluminum once mounted, but seeing it depends on the angle of view.

Ventilation hose. #18 But you can just replace it with any vacuum hose of similar inner diameter. The foam cover is likely for abrasion and maybe heat protection.

Headrests?
agentdr8 replied to Breeze's topic in Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC/Other
Hethelsport used to carry these, but I don't believe they're available any longer. -
The 4xx parts should be cheaper. I just did a quick comparison of S1 S parts vs 4xx parts (clutch disc, cover, and flywheel) and the prior came out to 1104.10 vs 526.77. These were based on prices from DeRoure.

There's a few over on our side of the pond that have used 4xx clutch parts in the S1s. I've seen nothing but positive posts on LT about using those bits, so that'll likely be the route I take when it's time for a clutch job.

My Drivers window
agentdr8 replied to Kimbers's topic in Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC/Other
I had this happen on my driver's window this past winter during the rainy season. I assume the regulator allowed water to ingress. To close the window, I just repeatedly pulled up on the window switch as fast as I could. It would inch the window up a little bit at a time, until it was finally all the way up. But on occasion, it would move the window up, and then the window would drop back down to the fully open position and I'd have to start over. Once it dried up, it seems to be back to normal. But I did end up ordering what I think is a compatible replacement regulator and will k -
Failed LEDs in headlight
agentdr8 replied to CocoPops's topic in Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC/Other
It would be had Lotus made that a separate, orderable part #, but they included it as part of the entire headlight assembly (same as the turn signals). So Silverstone had to replicate the existing LED disc design and send out for small batch production, which isn't as cheap as large volume. -
Bonnet badge - black.
agentdr8 replied to blueg33's topic in Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC/Other
GRP sells gel sticker overlays for the steering wheel badge. I don't think I've seen any actual 38mm ones for the steering wheel that has the retaining tabs like the stock one. -
Failed LEDs in headlight
agentdr8 replied to CocoPops's topic in Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC/Other
Neither. I just had a spare headlight assembly and needed the lens off it. My car has its original LED discs still in service and functional, but if/when they give up the ghost, I'll likely just repair them myself. -
Failed LEDs in headlight

Yep. Once you separate the lens, you remove the middle layer, which houses the LED ring. It's mounted on the backside via 2 spring nuts. I posted a few pics a while back when I disassembled mine. You can check out the photos here. The brown and black wires lead to the LED board. -
Failed LEDs in headlight

I know to pull the one out of the spare headlight assembly I have the lens had to be separated. It was fairly simple with a heat gun on low, moving it constantly in a sweeping motion. Others have said they've replaced theirs without opening the headlight, and I don't know how that would be possible without cutting a hole in the fixture. -
Water ingress / leak
agentdr8 replied to pkn's topic in Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC/Other
It could be the triangular mirror mount. That area is a known leak source as well. -
Gatorback belts used to be Goodyear, but are now branded as Continental Elite. I used 4070825 for my most recent belt change. I have a spare Bando and a Dayco, but the Gatorback/Conti belt seems to be as good as they've been on other vehicles I've used them on in the past. If you really want to use a Gates, that part number for the NA is K070822 for their V-rib design. I don't know that it's a waste of time fitting a non-gatorback style belt, but you may eventually experience slippage with the standard ribbed designed belts. I'd say go with what you've got, and at the next belt change

Evora ARB Bushes
agentdr8 replied to Scotsdave's topic in Ride/Handling/Suspension/Brakes/Wheels/Tyres
I finally got around to installing my Powerflex Performance ARBs and I definitely believe they'll last a lot longer than the OEM ones. Not that the OEMs are really soft or squishy, but the Powerflex ones are 80A hardness. I have noticed a slight increase in NVH, but I'd say it's less than 10% over OEM. I'm sure the Race ones at 95A would make for a significantly harsher ride. I had gone through 2 sets of OEM ARBs in under 3 years. Maybe a total of 15k mi. -
Just to clarify, there's no aux belt, just a single serpentine that drives all of the accessories (and supercharger, if so equipped). Unless the corrosion is really bad, or closer to the center bearing on the pulleys or accessories, I probably wouldn't worry too much about it.
-
John you could probably order them from Deroure, who gets their stuff directly from Lotus too.

Evora Cup holder
agentdr8 replied to Glasgow's topic in Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC/Other
I would think less than $15 at most online 3D printing places. Since GRP created that mount themselves, they likely wouldn't have posted it in the public domain. Probably about an hour's work to model one in Fusion or CAD to create something similar. -
Evora Cup holder
agentdr8 replied to Glasgow's topic in Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC/Other
I have one of these from GRP. It's basically a universal folding cup holder like one of these attached to a custom 3D printed mount that clamps over the seat adjustment bar.
