Can you at least tell us if it has a cup holder?

    That's a big spoiler....

Hopefully not too long now before the next installment.... I predict the next photo will be of an exposed gear shift mechanism similar to that found in the exige

I think that I'd be investing heavily in PPF.

    MY18 Evora...?

You're such a tease. Will it be worth the wait? I'm guessing that you've already tested tyres on it??? ?
  7. That's what I'm wondering, just trying to search on the forums where I should be looking, and what I should be doing. The water seems clean so it could make sense. Any pointers?
  8. Trying to find the cause of my wet carpets. The car had been dry until the last month or so. This roughly tied in to the timing of having my audio upgraded so I wondered if a seal within the door had been displaced. I couldn't find anything obvious though so the search continues.....
  9. Perfect, that's exactly what I needed. Thank you. For anyone else searching this topic in the future, there's also a small panel near the speaker on the front edge of the door that pops out to reveal another bolt
  10. Hi, Could anyone point me in the right direction of the service notes for the 400, or give me some pointers? All I can find is information relating to series 1 cars. I've removed the two large bolts behind the handle and the five pop fasteners along the bottom of the door and the single one up by the wing mirror but I can't see what's next. The trim still seems quite firmly attached near the speaker. Thanks in advance
  11. It's like a poorly executed liberty walk 458....
  12. Didn't get a proper look, but seemed to have red wheels and possibly red struts on the spoiler. Like this.... Highlights, not headlights.
  13. About 8am this morning whilst I was out emptying the mutt. Led by a white Exige with red highlights with 3 silver/grey Elise following up behind. I heard before I saw ?. It was a little strange as I was lost in thought about the Exige 380 I drove yesterday. Must have been an omen ?.

I borrowed this car for the day and can confirm that it has AC and the sound insulation pack. There was no head unit, but the speakers seem to be in place. It currently has PSS rather than the cup 2 tyres, and it felt completely different to my 400 - the only possible explanation for this is the stripe on the side.... Whilst I wouldn't go for an auto, I was very impressed by the one in this car.

I think that when you consider the cumulative effect of the weight reduction and modest power increase you realise that it's not just tyres and geo that result in the different feel of the 410. The 400 has 286hp/tonne and the 410 309hp/tonne. Even if you add 25kg back in through options you're still at around 304hp/tonne. To put it another way, a car the weight of a 400 would need around 430hp to match the 410 (as alluded to in @The Pits post).
  16. Nope, it's a Recaro Milano. I tried the Monza but when it came to it I just couldn't face cutting the access point for the isofix. The photos below show a comparison between the Young Sport Hero, Monza and Milano in decreasing size order. My 3 year old finds the Milano absolutely fine, the only issue being that when she falls asleep she tends to slump forwards. Not sure that she'd have that issue to the same extent in a bigger seat.

Just to present the view of a potential 410 owner in the next 6 months. I think that to see this as a track focused Evora creates confusion. As soon as track is mentioned the exige wins hands down and this makes the discussion purely academic. Instead I see this as an Evora 400 turned up to 11. It will undoubtedly be very capable on the track, but for me the attraction is a car where all the qualities I like in my 400 are amplified without a compromise that would mean I can't use it as a daily driver.
  18. You wouldn't get this attention with a Porsche....
  19. Guess this guy quite liked the car considering that he cycled past and then turned around to take a selfie with it ? It's quite interesting watching people's reactions as I sit opposite with a vodka and tonic
  20. Morgan aero 8 if you can stomach the looks? 4.4l v8, manual gearbox, convertible and hand built in Britain. I doubt that you'd lose much money and you'd have change left over from £65k. Or if not, how about a TVR Sagaris or some form or some flavour of Noble??

That may be so, but amongst the few that have bought into Lotus it seems to be a worthy range topper. I for one will be ordering an EU 'Jack' spec car on the first day of the next tax year. The problem isn't that the 410's not good enough, the problem is that people don't consider Lotus when they are spending £90k on a car. The brand simple hasn't occurred to a lot of people. However, the 400 does seem to be changing things slowly. Reading about new purchases on this forum, and the overwhelming response to your PH article is proof of this.

I've thought that too. He comes across very well indeed and it makes it feel like you're a part of the adventure in a way.
