I can't comment on the GT3 comparison, but having spent the day in Central's demonstrator yesterday I can confirm that the 410 is a considerable step up over the 400. Much firmer ride but never harsh, you could feel everything going on but with the edges smoothed off. I found myself traveling much faster over familiar roads purely because of the confidence it gives. Steering was so direct and instant that it made the 400 seem almost slow witted (which it isn't!) I absolutely loved it. It's much more than the sum of its parts.

The car looks stunning. Those wheels are calling out for some black bolts to replace the original silver though

1) fault fixed. Not sure what an air leak from the engine bay is as it's open to the air anyway 2) that's a real shame. Sounds like lotus attempted a fix but it didn't correct the problem 3) TADTS, a characteristic not a fault 4) Try driving the car long enough for it to warm up and it'll go away 5) Fault fixed 6) no idea 7) did you test drive the car? Not sure if your post is going to help you in your legal battle, might just want to run it past your lawyer. Other than that, welcome to the forums. The moderators are here to help, etc, etc..... Be sure to check out the poll on your favourite colour and make sure you come along to a social or two. Any photos of the car?

If the wedding was in York I'd have offered to help out. Surely there is a TLF member down that way that could help out if the car isn't fixed by then? Maybe a squadron of 400 playing the wedding march on throttle blips? I know that it's frustrating having so many problems with the car, but I hope it doesn't put you off. It really is something special.

I'm sure that I remember it seeing on here a while ago but I don't seem to be able to find it again.... Does anyone know the weights for the 410 options? Thanks in advance ?

Heater blower stuck on - Evora 400
pickle replied to 697OK's topic in Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC/Other
This happened to me last Sunday. I pulled the fuse which is easy and the car is booked in to central lotus to be sorted out under warranty. I'm still using the car in the meantime. On the plus side, it's a useful test to see if I can live without A/C if I ever swap to a 410 ? -
I'm with Gm77 and others on this. The video's not to my tastes, but I'm not the target audience and at the end of the day it's just a bit of fun. At least this kid is enthusiastic about the car (although a little misinformed perhaps), and has the initiative to actually go out there and shoot the video with everything that entails. Yes, he could have researched better but at least he know's what a 410 is and he's given up time to trek down to Lotus Silverstone and then produce a video. If my 13 year old stepson showed even half of that commitment I'd be happy. Also, when I was his age pretty much everything I did was crap and poorly executed..... who knows, in 10 years time his media business could have taken off and he could be in the market to buy a brand new 3rd generation Evora At the end of the day I got to spend 15 minutes looking at an Azure Blue 410, there are worse things in the world.

I have a duty of care to fellow TLFers. I have to show those living in the south east what they are missing

I'm glad Ian likes it ?

I'm reunited with my car today after a weeks separation, and it's fair to say that I've missed it. The car lives outside and since September I've covered 5000 miles so I decided to treat it to a bit of tlc. The detailer has done a fantastic job and the g-techniq stuff should keep things looking good ? Unfortunately Lotus paint thickness apparently leaves something to be desired.....

Fuse box, easy to get to?
pickle replied to Stuno1's topic in Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC/Other
From memory there's a bit of a lip, just needs a good wiggle. I found taking out the carpets helped with a bit of clearance -

Do you mean in the boot? The fuse box you get to from inside the car, it's just by that little cubby hole for the rear passengers. I'm trying to upload the photo for you but phone is being crap. Want me to try and send it by PM? -

There are two apparently. I've only had to get to the one in the passenger foot well which was fairly straight forward. Just had to take out the carpet and then undo some screws on the end wall of the foot well. Hardest bit was actually working out where it was! The other one is behind a plastic access panel by the rear seats on the left hand side of the car. This was for a 400 and I'm presuming it's the same for earlier cars. -
I like meat, doesn't matter if it's beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey or whatever else. I'm just glad that there are chefs out there that can cook it well. If a critic has a different palate than me I won't lose any sleep over it. Let's face it, at least they're not vegetarian.....

Surely this needs it's own re-build thread? I love stuff like this. Nice collection of cars by the way (especially for a 21 year old )

That looks lovely, and nice to see a metallic grey car with black pack on silver wheels for a change. Post up more photos and your impression of the car when you get chance. Car looks nice and compact compared to the Porsches in that picture. Wonder how the dimensions actually compare.

Makes me want one!!!

@Trevsked thank you, I appreciate your thoughts.

It's really good to hear these thoughts. Do you have any conclusions on additional benefits when directly compared to the 400? A lot of the information out there seem to be stand alone reviews of the car.

Thanks in advance for any help. I've noticed on a couple of occasions that when I press the windscreen demist button nothing much happens until I either turn the AC off and on again a couple of times or I restart the car. Sometimes it seems to be 'puffing' very gently. I've also noticed that the temp control isn't very sensitive to adjustment. It's either hot when turned up fully, or luke warm at anything below Max. I also noticed today that with it turned all the way to chill the air wasn't particularly cold. I usually only have the fan set to only one or two clicks on so not sure whether this is working properly. I had a quick chat to central lotus who are going to call me back in the morning, but if there's any suggestions from the community to help the diagnosis it'd be appreciated I thought I'd post this now so that I have chance to sort any potential AC problems in time for summer. I hear parts can be a bit tricky at times

Evora S1 ambient lighting

It's stuff like this that makes me proud to be part of this community. The knowledge and willingness to help of people like @agentdr8 gives me a nice warm fuzzy feeling inside -
The more that I see, the more that I like. I absolutely love my 400 and this just seems to take all my favorite bits and then add an extra layer of goodness on top. I'm finding it hard to think of my money going anywhere other than lotus when the time comes, and if I keep watching videos like @The Pits's that time is likely to come a bit sooner than planned. Does anyone know if lotus will be at Geneva? That would be my next chance to see one in the flesh.
