I have a UK "last 15" V8 (no.4 - pic) which has the outer exhaust config, as does no.6 TW03TOO. So the centre exhaust was not a default spec. I now need to pin down how many of the final 15 had each layout! @bingoking has one of the 15 so curious what layout his has?
Perhaps the owner didn't fit the plaque as the final 15 weren't delivered with the plaque attached. I received mine a couple of months after I took delivery of the car with instructions on where to place it on the glovebox lid.
You mention No4 and No6 above, what are you saying? 4th and 6th from last UK spec cars? I have the certificate of provenance from Lotus and my car is 8th from last. My car came of the production line after the Stratton 7 cars were delivered and they were supposed to be last of the line!
My car had the outer exhaust configuration when delivered but I didn't think it sounded like a V8 so I changed mine for the Lotus Federal Exhaust and the "cheese grater" rear valance. As far as I can recall the final edition European and Federal cars were delivered with the centre exhaust.
The price of these cars is only going one way and I think £65k is a fair price to be asking for a low mileage car.

Why are the dimensions of the car not on the Lotus website?

It was a pleasure meeting you and Gina and although it was a sad day for me I take comfort from the fact that the car has gone to a true Lotus enthusiast. I look forward to following your exploits with the car and hopefully meet up at an event in the future. Enjoy.

Going through the process now; a 2-page form and some pictures ..... 👍
I am about to renew my insurance on my V8 with agreed value. The insurance company have suggested £40k which I think is low. Where did you get the 2-page condition form?

I really enjoyed the Superfan Zoom call but had to leave after the unboxing. Watched it again on YouTube without the interruptions. It's just a pity that the MC did not mute all the mics until he wanted some cheering etc.
Cant wait to see this car in person.

Im interested in a GTE, and see that No8 is on Autotrader, but nowhere else including here, is it actually for sale Brian? Tried sending you a message but says you cannot receive them.
Ade
Hi Ade,
Yes still for sale, I'm not sure why you can't message me. I will PM you.
Was it you that contacted me through Autotrader yesterday about the my Reg No F110 TUS?

Is this still running? keen to get the car out this year assuming we can escape lockdown!
Yes, it's still there but not a lot of activity on it. If PM me your mobile I can add you to the group. Hopefully we will get back in our cars after lockdown.

I used Protek in Bathgate https://protek-bathgate.co.uk for a spray job on my Esprit and was very impressed with them. I have also used Roden Motors in Broxburn http://www.stewartrodenmotors.co.uk for a Pearlescent Paint job on my X5. They were recommended to me by Aston Martin Edinburgh and did a job job too.

Ditto!
Lots of Lotus experience.

#19 was purchased in 2016 by a Swiss property developer/builder, not sure if he stall has it or not. The price achieved then was CHF 148,000 and the exchange rate was £1 = CHF1.24, so £119k

This one is still listed at £90k at Hofmann's.
Used 2015 White Lotus Evora for sale | PistonHeads UK
LHD auto.
If you click "Visit Dealer's Stock" it is not listed there. Only listed on Pistonheads.

Hoffman's have one of the factory cars up at 89k iirc.
Edit, well they did have. Give them a call ask if it sold. Think it was Lhd. A Rhd would be worth more imo.
I think that one was sold at auction late last year on www.market.co.uk but it doesn’t show up on the results page so no idea what it sold for.

That’s disappointing. Try contacting Laura at Parks of Hamilton and see what valuation she would put on it?

My understanding is that it is the fact that the word LOTUS has been replaced by the word LEGS which makes it distorted. To use the new Lotus Logo we would need to have a trade mark licence from Lotus to use it. I thought it best to take down the distorted logo and in the short term replace it with a Saltire.
@C8RKH Andy, I think if you were to distort the PORSCHE logo by replacing that word with another e.g. PORKER, the folks in Stuttgart would have something to say about it.
Intellectual property is a big thing to large corporations.
In my business many years ago one of my Managers used the Superman Logo in one of his promotional mail shot leaflets. Universal Pictures were right on the case and threatened legal action if we continued to use it. We had to pay them compensation of £1 for our misdemeanour. Not a lot of money, it was more about the unauthorised use of their intellectual property.
-
I have been contacted by Lotus Cars and asked to remove the "amended" Lotus logo from the online sites due to the distortion and unauthorised use of the logo. I have therefore replaced the original LEGS Logo with the Scottish Flag.

Hi Andrew,
I am not sure given the restrictions in Scotland on meeting up with other households that we can organise a meet this weekend.
Here is a copy of an email I received from Ed Foster at The Rhynd Cafe near Leuchars. Nothing to stop folks from going out for a drive independently and stopping by for a coffee and bacon butty!
Weather dependent I may go out for a drive around Fife on Sunday morning.. 🙂 ☕🍔
Hope you're well, and getting through lockdown OK. As you might have guessed, with current restrictions, we can't officially organise Bacon and Brakes this Sunday morning. However, it's been amazing to see so many of you over recent months pop by in something interesting to get some breakfast, coffee or lunch!I'll be there on Sunday morning, and the Impala is back on the road, so will pop down in that.Hopefully see lots of you there – the weather looks like it's improving! -
Thanks guys, I took a stab at it and went 35 fronts 39 rears.
-
I have mislaid my handbook
and wondered if a GTE owner can advise on tyre pressures for road use.
Fronts 235/35/19
Rears 275/30/20
Thanks in advance.

That’s a pity, we’re heading North to Braemar in the Motorhome on Friday. We could have met up with your group at Duns with a Lotus this time. Enjoy your trip and the museum.
-
Met up with this lovely group of people and their cars at services on M6 North on Wednesday.
@Kevin WheelerHope the rest of the trip goes well and the weather improves for you. What day are you at the Jim Clark Museum?

The Episode was repeated last Sunday 24th July. I was watching and thought "I recognise that guy" and it was when I saw the Type 1 watch on his wrist and rewound to get his Dad's name that the penny dropped.
