  1. Tomorrow no good. Will choose a September date.
  2. Gutted. We're away next week. Mind you I was in 2 minds about heading out tonight. I miss you guys...
  3. In 23 years of ownership I have had the original rebuilt twice. The first time because it had actually fallen apart after 10 years and about 35k miles and the second time it prematurely required a rebuild after a rabbit decided to commit suicide and launched itself through the grille, destroying half the filaments. By that point the rad had been on the car for another 40k miles. At current UK prices that's 4 rebuilds for the price of a new aluminium rad which, rabbits aside, would last me 150k miles and 40 years of motoring. Pete
  4. Hi Marc, You do not need to upgrade the radiator or the fans unless you have upgraded the engine. Mine is standard and I've never had overheating problems even in traffic in 30+ degree heat. Just get the original radiator rebuilt properly and the system flushed. Pete
  5. Can't help on the master cylinder but DOT4 is the way forward for our older cars. Pete
  6. I put this kit on a few years ago and, after melting 2 sets of poly bushes (with heatshields in place and extra heat shielding), I binned it. It's possible that the tubular manifold was to blame but nonetheless, I've gone back to original mounts and never looked back. Pete
  7. Happy ending. I have found a refill that fits and works without needing any modification other than trimming to length. I've stocked up with a couple for the future. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/113727689091 None of the Trico one's I could source fitted. Pete
  8. @Zippster Hi Andy, What colour is your Elise? I may have seen you around. I'm just outside Micheldever Station. Pete
  9. Check the indicator stalk like what @eeyoreish said. The copper contacts can oxidise over time so a quick scrub with emery paper to make them shine might be all you need. Start simple... Could even be a loose wire on the back of the stalk. Pete
  10. Hi Steve, Yes I have the inclined rad. They were fitted to later S2s but maybe also federal cars? I can get you some better pics of the braces if you need them. Pete
  11. Which rad do you have Steve, upright or inclined? Are these the braces you are referring to below?
  12. Pants! 15th no good. Wife is working so need to be on Dad duty. Enjoy!
  13. Dear @Bibs, please add sticking tongue our and wavey deer antler imogee to library...🐃
  14. @Bibs already subscribed , your highness. Guess I need to update the frequency. Pete
  15. Gutted I didn't know anything about this meet. Must check into here more often!! Pete
  16. SJS sell replacement glass if you do break it but it's not tinted like the original. It breaks quite easily too so don't be shy with the heat. Pete
  17. Hi Lutz, Great to see your progress. Have a look at this to answer your piping question. There's my description and photos. Good luck! Pete
  18. I couldn't say for sure. I've had the gearbox off but not the engine out. I'm not sure in an S2 it would be possible to take the engine in or out from below? @Matt-watts will probably be able to give you a definitive answer although if you've actually done it Dave @LOTUSMAN33 I will bow to your experience. Pretty sure the whole thing can go in from above though. Pete
  19. @gvy Yes, I glued it in Geert like Andy said above. https://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/product/1820/sponge-extrusion I think it was this one but I did it years ago. Pete
  20. The video on youtube is good too. Pete
