I’ve just remembered where & when this photo was taken. 2004 Charleville-Mezieres, after staying here we set off for lay-by in Luxembourg & met up with Opel Speedsters from all over Europe & other vx220’s we were the first Brits to arrive, it was a lovely site & the start of a great weekend. I don’t know if @Don.Hasi was one of the Speedster owners? A day driving round Luxembourg & the following day my first visit to the ring.

Found this picture the other day, me & my RD350YPVS, going by the scuffs on the engine casings & the missing nose fairing this was after I’d dropped it on a diesel covered roundabout, bought the bike In early 84, fitted F3 Allspeeds & had it mildly fettled by a place in Newport that tuned scooters. It was mental! I repaired it from this knock & then had a mates show bike Honda CBX turbo knocked over on to it. Before this I’d had a 250LC at 17 in 81 & a Honda CBX550F already, after the second lot of damage to the the 350 I sold it to a guy who was going to race it & bought a Honda VF750F before I was 21 in 85. Had a lot of bikes since then including 4 Fireblades, an R1 & a GSXR1000 although my favourite remains the 916 which I’ve mentioned in this thread before. I’ve still got an 848 sat in the garage but it’s not seen light of day now for eighteen months unfortunately.

Apart from the carbon engine cover, everything else was on that car was from the factory, carbon seats, service hatch & sill covers, alcantara steering wheel & air vent trims. Then the normal options of met paint, air conditioning, sound insulation, carpets, mats, stereo & speakers. Be gentle with the Levens staff, the company has just gone pop & been taken over

Cracking spec car! I remember seeing it’s adverts when it was brand new at Levens, list price of over £70k before they added the soft top conversion to it.

I’ve noticed on DeRoure that the latest head units are Sony (two versions) and that they are finally fitting a DAB aerial. Somehow I doubt that it will be a Volvo unit.

Both of the groups that have snapped up Leven are largish groups, Grange nothing like as big as Vertu but neither have any Lotus connections. Can’t imagine Lotus being of any interest to Vertu whatsoever. Grange however could be a good thing.

A lovely guy called Mo who lives in Somerset bought the Vivid Green car from B&C, met him early summer in the Forest of Dean, when he was running the car in, and the other B&C car is owned by the Hi-Fi guy on here

My Exige V6 Club Racer use to do it all the time, really embarrassing at times. I didn’t keep it long enough to get it looked at, my Sport 350, admittedly IPS, has never done it in 10000 miles.

My car’s metallic orange, I think it’s much the same as chrome orange

Blimey! Thread resurrection! Dave posted in August 18, I had the pleasure of leading & following Dave’s GT430 to the Lotus 70th at Hethel last year. The car was traded in against another olive green GT430 with B&C and Jamie worked his magic on Dave

Mainly bought by existing Aston owners so I was told at the time
