  1. I do like an Alcantara interior! On the harness bar, I'd probably wait to see before making any calls. You won't get to see much of it anyway given the shape of the seats vs cabin size - v different to something like a 911 where its pretty open at the back.
  2. Looks awesome all round - pondering some KT carbon myself - keep us updated!!
  3. You could also check with Eliseracing.com. They do conversions with BMW engines and gearboxes into various cars (among others) and I believe were looking at putting a BMW M3 twin clutch auto into a v6 exige.
  4. As above. Any thoughts much appreciated. a friend is thinking of doing a Goodwood Track day with 98Db static 96Db on circuit limits and is not sure if it will pass.
  5. Many thanks - do you mind if I ask for a ballpark sense of cost?
  6. This might sound like a silly question but are there any car shipping options for places like Portimao? I don't have a trailer! 🙂
  7. Pic for inspiration!! (not me unfortunately)
  8. Just booked Bilster Berg 27/7, Spa 29/7 with Lotus on Track. Looking forward to it!! Also have Goodwood in March and Brands May booked with LoT. Yep - the July Spa date last year was mega!! Did Tourist Fahren at the Ring on the previous Sunday evening last time. Will look at that for '19 once the Ring post up TF dates for 19.
  9. Just booked Bilster Berg 27/7, Spa 29/7 with Lotus on Track. Looking forward to it!!
  10. I got this Momo airbag resistor from demon tweeks. any suggestions where it actually goes? and do I cut the horn wires or undo the plug and try to pull them out? any suggestions much appreciated - this is one job where there doesn’t seem to be much on YouTube that is lotus specific. starting to think this isn’t the best job for 10pm on Sunday night and I should retreat to the house... Any suggestions much appreciated!
  11. Ok so I got the airbag out and wheel off. Do I then need to take off the central nut and remove the chunky metal piece with 4 holes or does the B&G screw into those holes?
  12. I went from a Cayman GT4 to an Elise Cup and haven't looked back. Hope its the same for you!
  13. I sat in a MY > 17.5+ Exige 350 sport at Bell and Colvill at the weekend - I think it had alcantara rather than carbon sills, but they felt lower and access was easier. Does anyone know if this is correct (that the dropped sills come in versions other than the Cup carbon)?
  14. is there any perceived difference between the early and late build V6 Cups, or any of the cars generally?
  15. I have only passengered at the Ring in the 8 minute bracket - and it felt v fast! anyone know what the Elise lap record is??
  16. Good work on the times - is the video in B&w or is that me?
  17. Congrats on joining the Elise Cup club! I love my 220 Cup. for the spats, I’m about to fit some Matt black aftermarket protectors that I like the shape of - if for any reason I’m not happy once they’re on, I’m going to order some of the Elise 260 Cup ‘sharkfin’ protectors - these are now visible on deroure.com, the Lotus parts website
  18. I had my harness holes wrapped in situ. Much easier than cutting out and putting in new ones. Tho helps from an access perspective if you have a removeable roof. Door cards to access window switches and heater surround panel dead easy - if the above is not detailed enough, you will find all you need on a google / youtube search. Great car - always good to see someone driving and enjoying 🙂
  19. If it’s a track car used on the road I’d go r888r - or zzr/s if you prefer. if a road car used on the track AD08R. i think the AD08R is s 205 front as per Elise 260 Cup. That runs a 235 rear but also read about people going 225 rear when buying tyres themselves. Some of the road cars come with 175 front (220 sport / 220 cup on standard alloys) but if you’re doing track work I’d aim for the 195 front (or 205 in AD08).
  20. Looks amazing! Looks like you have gone 2 pot on the rear with additional parking brake Caliper? any comments on how it stops and how easy it was to fit the second rear Caliper?
  21. Looking good Mike! the drive looks and sounds quite different to our Elise Cups - I get a bit less oversteer! Looks great fun! youre giving Colin and I dark thoughts about engine swaps... be good to catch up at another one soon!
  22. Is the V6 Cup really lighter than the later cars - or are you pulling our legs??
  23. Let us know if you're thinking of selling the 380
