  1. It was fine and a great show,I would have liked to put my car in but it was fully booked. Really nice to see a few Lotus's there.Seemed very organized this year.

  3. If it's a 6mm nyloc which mine are you will need a 10mm socket.Toolstation,Screwfix sell them at very reasonable prices.Best to renew them once they have been off anyway.

  6. Hi Peter,I paid £8 for the motor,money well spent in my eyes.
  7. Hi Peter,I replaced my purge pump motor with this one from Maplin,works a treat now.Nice easy job to. Please not that the old motor is visible in my picture and the new one installed.

Nice to have a lid that stays up now.Dead simple to do and the mounting simply bolts onto the original top panel mounts and rests against the fuel tank with double sided tape to form a gasket.Struts are Hafle 80 n 268mm.I hope my mod will be helpful to others with ineffective boot stays.Higher pressure gas struts are available if needed.

  10. Thanks Chris,I must say that I was surprised how well it goes with the auto box,got a slipper in the back which helps,once she is up in the revs she kicks ass.P.s. What's the lozenge?

Job done.Nice clean door shuts,new nuts and bolts ect,electric window wiring mod,sound deadening,powder coated window frames with new felts and seals.The end result is nice closing doors,not forgetting new door pins and a grease nipples added.I'm glad I've done the job now and my baby is back on the road.

Thanks,looking forward to getting my old girl back so I can get her back together and back on the road again.I will post some pictures up of the progress once I have everything ready for assembly.Looking forward to seeing new nuts and bolts and nice closing doors and nice line's.Im going to take my time and get it right.

Sounds interesting,look forward to seeing some pictures of your project.Mine is having the door shuts painted as they let the car down.I then have the pleasure of refitting the doors ect.I have had the beams sand blasted and painted and I have pressed in new phosphor bronze bushes to go with the new door pins and grease nipples,stripped and serviced the window regulators and had the window frames sand blasted,just need them powder coated then the fun begins refitting it all.The picture below is pre refurbishment as you can see.
  15. I must say I was very surprised how well it goes,once the engine is up in the revs she takes off,the ZF auto box changes perfectly and power delivery is spot on,I also have a LSD fitted to assist with traction. Thanks,look forward to seeing some pictures of your Excel.
