  1. Great result, may be a little oil on the spindle is a maintenance tip for those who don't garage their cars..
  2. Is the car garaged? and is there any sign of corrosion on the spindle?
  3. These have different trim to the 400, which sorry to say, is much nicer to start with.
  4. I have an EVORA 400 RHD... what steering, Pedal off set.. must be a LHD thing
  5. If you painting them then damaging the plastic ring isn't an issue as it can be repaired. A suggestion is three stiff thing probes to probes, like long very thick feeler gauges, to push the tanks in to pull it all out together
  6. Spoon welcome, is this the car on Grays auction? if it is you got an absolute bargain
  7. I used the in CD slot type charging mount. cut the ball off the mount, bored out the center countersunk a 6mm cap head bolt used a spacer to off set the ball so the tightening nut can be assessed. Very pleased with the result originally I was using a screen mount on the right. The only down side is the phone gets hot with mounting position where as before it did get some airflow from the face vent.
  8. What a cleaver idea, I just made my own to suit a Samsung 21 ultra but put it on the Pax side due to the phone size
  9. It always seems to me that EVO always turn up with a GT4, yes the price is similar however to me the customers the EMIRA target is not just GTS, but a specked up Cayman because by the time you add any options to any Porsche the price sky rockets. The other thing Jethro didn't mention the car in the teat was pre production.
  10. Interesting Jethro isn't happy
  11. The Emira has an 8 year production life thanks to current Gov insistent ( that's the most polite word I could think off) EMIRA variants probably however with a focus on EVs who knows. I for one will keep the EVORA, In hind sight Ive made too many mistakes selling cars for the grass is greener....
  12. Old models always drop when a new model comes out but as we are now in a totally different world perspective motoring, its anyone guess Another thought if I may, I se the Emira appealing to a different market which is what LOTUS wants and that's a good thing for the life of the company. However my best description for lots of the new buyers, is non enthusiast flippers, keep the car for 12 months to three years now whats next......
  13. Probably not the correct place for a winge, sorry Bibs, however one of the other tid bits is the way in which journalists now report and not just on cars they don't report the news just their VIEWS. On cars like they are critical designers, Oh I don like this and I like that why did they do that etc. Stick with the facts and comparative facts where necessary, they all think their influencers their paid to report not distort.. As you were back to the thread
  14. Thank you at least one person agrees with me, not sure may will, but hey, may lotus sell many. When I first heard of the "new" lotus being developed, I was even advised then to keep the EVORA as the new car will be a more "shopping" mass market car, but by account it still has LOTUS DNA.
  15. Now the Emira is being tested by Jurnos, I wounder what other people think. I for one really love the styling of the Emira one of the Best looking cars ever made and dare I say it better looking than the F8( my neighour has one and had a really good look and ride in the car) However, but that's it. Don't like the on trend interior, the dash and I am going to cop a hiding for saying, the first thing I thought of was it looks like a 1980 throwback with an Ipad parked in the in the middle and chrome around the vents. the seats look to over padded. Ive said this before but lotus are now where Porsche was in the 90's with the 964(Evora)and the Emira(993). Lotus will sell bucket loads of the EMIRA ( Australia according to SSC have orders of over 90) and so it should, but I prefer the more "analog" Evora. I await the berating.
  16. Thank you I knew I had seen it somewhere, I see the win ace site doesn't list lotus anymore.
  17. Each Thursday I go for coffee with some cars guys at great coffee spot. I was leaving and spotted this Europa and as it turned out owned by a lady who is a serious LOTUS lover. Here father bought it for her years ago and it has now been restored and I must say it is the best Europa I have seen. Turns out she wants an Evora, so I had to oblige with a ride around around a country block. OK so Its not just pictures of the EVORA but what I consider it grand father
  18. Can some one tell what the front bumper is?
  19. As a Followup to my last post,I would say the F8 ride quality in "soft" isn't as good as the Evora, and I must say at "speed" the Evora is more stable I was surprised when he commented the car front tends to float, Cold Tires may be... just making excuses.
  20. I have taken my Ferrari owning neighbour out in my 400 and he was surprised at the ride quality. Today I spent the morning in his brand new F8 Tributo I agree with his comment even when the F8 is in soft mode Yes the interior is very nice, leather seats are too hard unless they are fully tweaked and then there OK its almost to spacious inside Yes the grunt is nice when the turbos kick in and it goes, but it tram tracks under braking "what the", at 3 times the price of a new EMIRA. I prefer the way the Evora feels to be in and rides and goes.. Sorry Ferrari its a very nice trophy car
  21. Sadly the A110 is now not sold in Australia, as some numpty bureaucrat enforced the side impact intrusion bar regulation as of NOV 2021, 3 years ahead of Europe, and we only got 89 cars across all models. As such the asking price second hand is now way over the retail price 😡
  22. I haven't even bothered watch all the videos, sadly only 335 ? mile range. most will be urban transport. An EV of any sort will need to match the range capability and convenience of refueling speed of cars like the 10 year old VOLVO D5 XC60 I have, that on Australian country trips will easily do 600 plus miles. The vastness of Australia a Hybrid is the only real compromise.
  23. OK just a quick followup after driving the car yesterday, the RHD set up is very good in fact you cannot tell it not factory. The foot well is as large on the right as it is on the left due to the central chassis tube/box and to be honest it didn't feel odd at all. In fact I quite liked it.
  24. Originality is important, however as Australians are only ever exposed to mainly US imports people are far more interested in RHD conversions except for the super mega expensive that cannot be converted ie Veyrons etc. which imported under a special scheme. LHD cars here like Porsche’s and Ferrari’s mainly from the Us are a very hard sell and usually 2/3 the price of RHD cars. RHD imports also suffer discrimination as the were not Australian delivered Pictures to come.
