  1. Best to tape around the back of these units with a foam tape, prior to fitting so they seal, otherwise water could get in as they don't sit completely flat. I used some that was about 8mm high and compressed nicely, which you could see from inside when tightening the nuts down. They should really come with a gasket for the Exige.
  2. Awesome orange, not far off my sofa
  3. Big shout out to Jez and Sam at Back on Track for such a brilliant service with sorting my car. They really go that extra mile with everything they do, the real jewel in the crown of garages! Getting the car back like this before Christmas beats any presents! Joe.
  4. Hi All, I hear the originals usually break when changing? I see some on the elise shop. Do these fit a V6S? I am waiting on some GRP V3 lights so would like it to match! Cheers.
  5. What a transformation they are. Will place an order. The originals let the back end down, these are similar to the Ferrari 488.
  6. So did you go for the amber or red turn signals? So they're the $599.00 ones? These look awesome!
  7. Looks possible to remove charger without taking inlet manifolds off with it? Injector rail/throttle etc first then 6x button heads on underside of flange? What a bloody nightmare!
  8. Just noticed I have a leak coming from the nose cone, from behind the pulley. Very slight, and initially though when I had very slight pooling around injectors it was from when the oil was changed. I cleaned it all up and have done a few hundred miles since and noticed it today on touching the nose cone and could see with a mirror it's definitely coming from behind the pulley. Is this just a seal replacement? Cheers
  9. I see there are two posts on this. I replied in the other one: The ribs/cross cuts will be a lot more pronounced now, compared to the older (worn) belt which will give the sound. Has it only done it since the new belt? Mine did this right away after the new belt, but if I hadn't of known may have been concerned. The sound may be a bit different on a Exige V6S, but it certainly sounds very similar. Notice it more when engine is winding down with window down, but I have a Komo-Tec filter so it shrieks anyway with the standard whine. My engines on 9k
  10. Give it a few years and they'll be something better, I'd rather a second hand F430 ha ha, still with a load of change left.
  11. Cheers Imran, probably just got out of the habit as it's a squeeze to get in, so usually start it before I get in now. Better keep off those pies! I had thought MAF with KT filter.
  12. It's all marketing and it works, and who could blame Lotus. Noble did the same with the M12 GTO to M400, basically the same cars, but no where near the price hikes Lotus have been trying. That's the beauty of the second hand car market for people that can't justify 100k+, 48k outright was enough for me, but over doubling that for new, nah happy with a 4 year old v6 banger! As long as everyone's happy who cares...
  13. Noticed when I fully prime the pump it seems fine. Before maybe I wasn't doing this for the full duration. Does everyone make sure their pumps are primed before turning over? Hoping the pump is ok, it's only done 9k. Cheers

  15. Is the belt new? Mine is more noticeable now since the last service as it was changed. I know from past experience with toothed belts on a G-Lader charger (Polo G40) new belts made it scream!
  16. Alas still exactly the same! Must be an underlying problem as it never did it before. To suddenly start points at something...
  17. Thanks very much guys, I have disconnected the battery for a while and on start up all seemed ok! I'm not sure if it was stone cold from hours before, but will check tomorrow and get back. I also let it idle for 15 mins with no touch of the throttle, then turned off.
  18. That is one hell of a result, just brilliant. I wonder how that would compare to the KT. I have always sworn that kit gave a BIG power increase over standard airbox, so your could be better!
  19. Hi Kristof, I specifically told the dealer not to touch anything software related due to the map. I will try that anyway and thanks for that. I was concerned it maybe a spark plug gap or something not set right as these were changed? When I installed the EX370 kit a year ago everything was absolutely perfect until this latest service, maybe it's a coincidence...
  20. Ah the other one with the best colour. Strange thing is it's only just started? Was thinking MAF or plugs. Hope it's not a coil looking at the ridiculous price of them!
  21. Hi Mario, The car is running a Komo-Tec carbon fibre air box and remap. The filter is only a year old and hasn't even covered 1k yet. It's always run perfectly with that EX370 kit until now. Thanks a lot for the suggestion.
  22. Hi All, Since my last service 6 weeks ago I have noticed a slight miss/rough/lumpy idle from stone cold for the first 5-10 secs then clears? Could this be a spark plug not gapped properly or maybe a coil breaking down? Many Thanks
  23. It does look really smart in gloss. It was like this from ne, though I imagine it's not too difficult to do. I clean seamless line may be difficult to achieve where it meets the colour at the rear. My keyboard or my brain can't write a sentence proper like!
  24. Hi Mike, yes plus the rear diffuser and rear section around the lights.
  25. Another original V6, these will be classics soon with all the new models being released!
