  1. Thought I'd give Lotus' new configurator a try - Not the best configurator in the world. Seemed to work far better on my phone than on my laptop.... Still, it managed to get the job done.
  2. Certain your car is often out on the lash! Lol
  3. Could be a tight one.... Were you able to get under?
  4. Stunning. Great choice of colour too!

  7. Just watched a lovely Green Exige 410 enter the circuit! Hope you had fun out there. Love a wet trackday.
  8. I test drove that very car a few weeks back. From what i was told. The previous owner didnt have the opportunity to take the car on track. The tyres were in pretty good condition! Apart from the colour (British Green) I loved everything about it. All the right options were checked .....or in the case of this car. Unchecked. Good price imo. Anyway I'm now more likely to order one brand new.
  9. Any owners of Matt black Exiges here? Would love to see more pics.
  10. So I managed to test another Sport 350 recently. Unlike the first one I drove, this particular version was very different - * No sound insulation or carpets * No stereo *Two-piece brakes * Harness bar and harnesses * Cant recall the other options Unlike my first test drive. This one was far more enjoyable. I think I had at least an hour with the car. In short, I loved it. My only issue was the colour. British Green... Not a horrid colour, just didn't really float my boat. So I'm now considering buying brand new - After I've returned the Mini GP to stock and returned it. Plans to sign up to the Lotus Academy are off.... Seems to be sold out for the next few months, with the earliest available date being around June / July iirc.
  11. I dont know... Didn't ask. Have a feeling it wouldn't be cheap.
  12. I managed to have the opportunity to drive an Exige without sound insulation and / or carpets. And to be honest it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I fairly certain it's something I can live without!
  13. So not a clear night and day difference. Any locals want to take me for a spin?
  14. Any pics of cars with and without the carpet?
  15. I thought that might be the case. I'll have to drive or have a ride in one.
  16. Its funny you say that. During my test drive I asked the sales manager whether he'd be able to tell whether an Exige had sound insulation. He flat out said "Yes". He went on to that that you'd have trouble hearing your passenger. I'd like experience a car without it though.
  17. Hi All Currently going through the Exige option list. On a scale of 1 - 10. How loud (10 being really loud) is the ride without sound insulation? Would you class this as a must have option? Thanks Dan
  18. So I finally got to drive the Sport 350 today. The goods news is that I'm now able to get in and out of the car with "relative" ease. I'm starting to see this as a small price to pay for such a special car. The Good: * The ride - I was hugely surprised with how well the suspension coped with your average UK road surface and (more importantly speed humps). I rides far better than my GP. * Seating position - Back when I first sat in the car, I was concerned that would would be sat too high. After driving he car on the road, I've come to the conclusion that it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Visibility was perfect. * Engine - This is the first V6 powered are I've ever driven . In fact... This is the first supercharged car I've ever driven on road. Unlike the Mini's 1.6 4 pot. This V6 was both sharp, linear and silky smooth. The not so Good: * Pedals - Probably not fair, as I had only driven the car for about 20 mins. The pedal positioning (and perhaps width) did feel a little off... Making it difficult for me to rev match / heel and toe. * Getting in and out - Yes it's a bit of a pain. But is it a pain that I am prepared to live with? I think so.... Actually, almost certainly! Overall its a fantastic car. And offered up so many surprises. Whats next? I've been given a price list. So plan to review that over the coming weeks. I'm also going to look into signing up to the Lotus Academy. This should give me the opportunity to really explore this car's potential. I think this could end up replacing the GP!
  19. I swapped out the standard Mni seat for the pole position... The standard seat offer very little support in the corners.
  20. Seem to be more lateral support in the 380. Looks similar to my Pole Position - MVIMG_20180918_171154 by Daniel Air, on Flickr Thanks for the images.
  21. Sport 350 test drive booked in for Monday! What are the seats like when compared with the Recaro Pole Position seats?
  22. Thanks Dan. What are everyone's thoughts on the V6 Cup. Also should I stay clear of modded exiges?
  23. I thought that HR Owen looked familiar. The one opposite the Shell station. I used to live in Hertfordshire. Great car. Really like the look of the 380s!
